That tiny woman held on for us. The Notorious RGB. RIP

She should have stepped down when Obama was in office, pride got in the way. And, I haven't forgotten what she said about Kapernick, so no RIP from me.

I didn't like her either but what's coming will be much worse

Obama would’ve nominated someone to the right of her. If she knew otherwise, she’d have retired.

I don’t know how further left another SCOTUS judge who can pass in the Senate will than her.

I don't have to show her respect, what she said about Kap and the fight against racial injustice removed that from the equation. I won't disrespect her, but I definitely don't have to respect her either.

Both parties are not the same, Republicans are clearly interested in turning America into a fascist state, Dems however have been the Washington Generals to their Harlem Globetrotters just rolling over for them. True evil is just America getting back to it's old classics, what it was founded and built on.

Whatever dude. The fact that she made ill informed statements about Kaepernick that she later apologized for doesn’t take away from the civil rights that she’s achieved through her career.

And it’s not the Dems that are the Washington Generals it’s the Dem voters that are the Clippers. They have all the talent, all the advantages but somehow managed to not bother to show up. And that’s exactly what it is. You have one job. Show up and vote for Democrats down the ticket every two years no matter what. If they had done that the past 10 years the country would be a lot closer to a Progressive paradise instead of the failed Facist state that it is now.

The dems are def the generals. They pretty much bend over and give the repubs whatever they want with little resistance. Honestly, Im surprised they're holding off this long on the cough cough package

People who say this are ignorant. I really don’t feel like being nice right now. You can’t do anything in government without power and that power means controlling all 3 branches of the government. If you want the Dems to do anything then the voters would show up to vote in record numbers in every election and mid term election from now until eternity. People would have shut the hell up and showed up to vote for Clinton instead of wasting third party votes, protesting that their candidate didn’t win the primary or sitting him not seriously thinking that Trump could win.

If you want a good example, the House passed a coronavirus relief legislation months ago and there’s nothing you can do about a corrupt piece of **** like Mitch McConnell refusing to bring it up for a vote. **** blame Dem voters because Republican voters don’t have this problem

If voters don’t show up to vote then the party will look elsewhere for votes because they’re not reliable. Funny how Republicans have never had a problem showing up to vote for the absolute worst candidates. And it’s actually worked out GREAT for them, no sarcasm intended.

Obama had supermajority the first two years of his presidency, he wanted to reach across the aisle to people who will never do the same. Dems show weakness when they should show the same level of disregard for the rules that Republicans show, this is literally like watching WWE as a kid and the heel keeps winning over and over again while the face tries to play by the rules.

Whenever the Dems get back in power, they should simply show the same respect to the rules that Republicans have shown, will that happen? I doubt it, not until the progressives take over in 10-20 years, but Donald Trump Jr. will probably be in his 5th term by then.

he lost that supermajority fast due to Ted Kennedy's passing (August 2009) & later Robert Byrd's passing (2010). They were lucky to squeeze the ACA, but had to sacrifice a lot of the true liberal aspects of the bill (public option) on the table.

Surprised people keep on saying this.

Personally I'd like to see Filipino Noel Francisco get the nod. He's a fine Conservative. Funny I always thought he was Latino.
Best choice politically might be Barbara Logoa. Latina and from Florida she was on their State Supreme Court. But Trump knows Noel well and he likes to go with people he knows.

Like I said. A lot of people who keep saying Democrats this and Democrats that are completely ignorant. The public option of the ACA was literally killed by one Senator ONE. You know what’s better than a super majority for 2 months? A **** Super Majority for 4 years! I don’t know why people choose to be so **** dense. This isn’t that complicated.

Take a good read about how Hungary went from a Democracy to authoritarian state. And by no exaggeration, the exact same thing is happening in the US. Trump isn’t even being subtle about it. I was saying this months ago but this is the last chance for Democracy.

The crazy thing is that Hillary was literally warning people of all this in 2016. You had a lot of people sounding the alarm bells about what Trump would do, but certain people couldn’t get over themselves or be bothered to take things seriously. This was always the inevitable conclusion to letting a racist, lying, psychotic rapist get within 100 feet of the Whitehouse. But somehow I’m supposed to care about Biden dancing to Despacito.

luckily Twitter isn't real life, but the number of people who complain about "enthusiasm" or lack of policy on that platform is annoying. Then there are people like Charlamagne Tha God who spews nonsense that's never checked and he has a platform where he can motivate people not to vote or participate in the process. Very frustrating. Almost makes me wish there was compulsory voting

Don’t get me started with his dumbass who can’t even be bothered to search Biden’s website that specifically talks about his policy for Black America. And yeah at this point compulsory voting should be a thing, it would force Republicans to run on ideas instead of hate and greed. It’s actually something that all the third party supporters should want as well. Here’s an interesting article about how compulsory voting saved Australia.

Please go read up how the government works and what power you have and don’t have as the Minority party. You’re talking nonsense. You have two choices, either give Democrats power or let Republicans gain more power and never have a voice ever again. Look at my post about what happened in Hungary. That is exactly what will happen in the US and even worse.

If you want a good example, the House passed a coronavirus relief legislation months ago and there’s nothing you can do about a corrupt piece of **** like Mitch McConnell refusing to bring it up for a vote. **** blame Dem voters because Republican voters don’t have this problem

Nah. I won't blame voters. Your party's job is to win the votes.

If voters don’t show up to vote then the party will look elsewhere for votes because they’re not reliable. Funny how Republicans have never had a problem showing up to vote for the absolute worst candidates. And it’s actually worked out GREAT for them, no sarcasm intended.

Republicans play to their base. Democrats don’t.
