People b***ing about the fouls are hilarious. Go watch the 2nd quarter again and see which were fouls and which ones weren't.

The Lakers biggest advantage in the games LeBron has played against them: They're too athletic for the Nuggets, especially in the front court. That was proved again. And whenever you can't guard someone because they're getting by you and jumping over you, you foul.

Absolutely hilarious. This was a trend the entire year against the Nuggets.

I thought we got pretty much every single 50/50 call, and there were a ton given how aggressive we were. I know if that had been us, I would have been extremely ticked. But it was also only an 11-point game at halftime and we soundly outplayed them in the second half. They're an average defensive team and that's going to be a big, big issue moving forward. They've done an amazing job digging out of all those holes, but there's a reason they were even in them to begin with.

The Nuggets have to make better decisions. Jokic wrestling with Howard and flailing his arms at Howard? That's going to get called. Davis trotting down the court and Murray stepping late and bending over and doing some awkward body position? Clear foul. The one where LeBron got the And1 and it was reviewed? Clear foul. Grant was moving and he didn't beat him to the spot.

Jokic is lucky he didn't foul out after 3 minutes of the 3rd quarter with the BS he was getting away with. And like you mentioned, it was an 11 point game and the Nuggets came out brutal in the third quarter.

Mike Malone's a smart coach. When he goes back to the film tonight, he's going to look at that and be disgusted. I would too if that was the Lakers.

Jokic was absolutely dumb in the 3rd quarter. He could have fouled out just as quickly as you say, and probably should have if they hadn't swallowed the whistle.

But I've also seen Dwight pick up 5 in 15 or 20 minutes playing pretty much exactly the same way he did tonight. I thought it was pretty obvious he was impeding Jokic's movement on his third foul, for example. Just like Mike Bibby vs. Kobe at the end of Game 6 that everybody thought was an offensive foul. You can't arm bar an offensive player like that. I also disagree on LeBron's three-point plays in the 2nd quarter; I thought both of them could have gone either way. All in all, we're a physical team and I'm glad they let us play because that is not always going to be the case.

It's OK to acknowledge that we caught some breaks, even while being the better team. I was very worried that we had missed an opportunity to build a lead with Jokic and Murray missing the last 5 minutes or so of the 2nd half, and we came out and totally took care of business. I especially love that Vogel ran Howard out to start instead of going back to JaVale; I continue to be impressed with his decision making. And the fact that we outshot them from the 3-point line; if we do that they have zero chance.

Totally agree about Vogel. McGee sucked against these guys in the regular season. He's a terrible match-up for Jokic and he just doesn't even try on some rotations out to the three-point line.

Hopefully we start Howard and go with a Howard/Davis/Morris rotation at C.

What I like, is what JAX used to say, its good to learn in a win, rather than learn in a Loss. Meaning, weve picked up on some of their schemes. 1 of em, is they are going to build that GIANNIS type wall for Lebron. Theyve made up their mind that they are going to press him and clog his driving lanes. We should now pick up on that, and hit the secondary options.

Great win, yet the haters and those idiots from the general board blaming the loss on the refs. They are completely (Please Use More Appropriate Word). Let's keep this intensity and go up 2-0.

Howard was the key tonight, as son as he stepped on the court, the very first play even before the inbounds, he started to battle Jokic and got him out just in a few minutes . After no play at all vs Houston, he showed an amazing vet mentality. Love it.

Kuzma and Green were supposed to be the leaders of the supporting cast, even with both underperforming, we are getting production from Rondo, Dwight, Kieff, KCP, Caruso... and that’s what has me very optimistic about our chances.

I'm respecting the Nuggets, but this felt like a February regular season game. We just casually won this and didn't even need Bron to put in a lot of effort.

I also think AD plays a beautiful game. He's so fluid and skilled, it's really a pleasure to watch him play ball.

And indeed: Dwight Howard played like a mature vet tonight. This has been a redemption season for him. I love it.

Good game by the Lakers although I was a little concerned after the no-defense first quarter. I usually don't talk about the refs but they certainly called it tight. Murray, Jokic and Millsap getting in early foul trouble changed the complexion of the game.

Good thing Lebron is nowhere near as limited an offensive player as Giannis. He can destroy that type of defense as needed

It’s amazing how so many are giving credit to the most deserving player and a few more to their favorite Laker but players like KCP and continued to be ignored. This guy has been be the most consistent shooter all through out the playoffs so far.
Kuzma’s defense also deserves some props too imo.

Nuggets only chance is Lebron sits out a game or two. Don’t know about you all but my aorta stopped when Lebron tweaked that ankle.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
