But the ill-advised jumpers, the boneheaded turnovers, the absolute cowering before the pressure of the moment... He painted a very clear picture that we need to move on.

He's a strong perimeter defender on a decent deal, he's just the most logical piece in a large(ish) trade.

I didn't really see that.

I agree with your last sentiment though.

How could you not? He was basically Murphy's Law incarnate. Early shot clock bricks, piss poor decision making leading to turnovers, got bailed out of some other poor choices that we luckily retained possession.

Seems like I misunderstood what you meant. I thought you meant he was afraid of the moment - which he wasn't. He just **** the bed.

Doesn’t matter why, he’s been atrocious in three straight playoffs. And as we’ve been eliminated in series he’s been absolutely torched by Terry Rozier, Lowry/FVV, and Dragic.

We gave him a chance. He ain’t got it. Time to move on.

I get that and I'm in agreement. I just want to point out it's not just 'addition by subtraction'. Bledsoe will be missed and we need to acquire a good player to replace him.

I’d say “playoff Bledsoe” is well below a replacement level player. But yes, good players are preferred.

Covington

Rockets go get a center who doesn't clog the paint for Westbrook but also provides elite rim protection and picks up a young wing.

Bucks lean into Giannis at center and add a terrific 3&D guy to replace him at the 4. Still need to move Bledsoe for more offense at PG, but this is the direction they need to go.

As a Trailblazer fan I saw an opportunity to "improve" his idea

Houston trades:

Robert Covington

Houston receives:

Brook Lopez

The Rockets get a center that compliments Harden and Westbrook well as they pivot from small-ball to a more traditional line-up

Milwaukee trades:

Khris Middleton
Brook Lopez

Milwaukee receives:

CJ McCollum
Robert Covington
Zach Collins

The Bucks get a couple of really great complimentary pieces as they move Giannis to center. McCollum is the much needed guy who can create at all three levels. A McCollum/Giannis pick and roll will be a thing of beauty. Covington can man both forward spots and Collins is a 3 and D PF who will help keep the Bucks among the league's best defensive teams.

Portland trades:

CJ McCollum
Zach Collins

Portland receives:

Khris Middleton

Middleton gives the Blazers a much needed upgrade at SF. The emergence of Gary Trent Jr. makes CJ at bit more expendable, The PF hole should be fillable with the MLE or a trade of other assets

Your right, we should really consider him. Surprisingly effective defender despite his size. Great floor general who doesn't turn the ball over. Shoots the 3 well. Had his best season for Memphis playing in the same system we run. He's just entering his prime. Descending contact.

Wouldn't do the Portland part but Lopez+ for Covington would be great. Still like the Lopez for Ball too for both teams.

I hope they wouldn't give up Middleton for McCollum. I'd want to pair him with Midds. Now if they added Gary Trent to the deal...

Right or wrong, Houston is all in on there quick, pressuring defense. Brook is the last guy they'd want.

Could be a prime time to snag RoCo. Can see Houston panicking.

I think one of the reasons they’d be open to dealing CJ would be the emergence of Trent.

If you added a pick swap to the original deal I’d like it a bit more. I’d want CJ at point guard though. Then in turn deal Bledsoe/Expirings/#16 for the best player you can.

You think Morey is going to hire a coach that thinks Morey is dumb?

They’ve employed a system for the last 5+ years or so that was never viable so it’s possible.

Yeah, Morey is pretty inexperienced, and is known to panic. What happened to this board licking Morey's boots? Now suddenly he's gone cross eyed?

Houston will be looking to add more small ball defenders.

I agree with most of bleds but by the sound of it you would think everyone else on the bucks played out of their minds and it was only bleds himself that cost the bucks from beating the heat i thought it was a team game apparently im wrong cause it seems like this board is putting most of the putrid play on bleds am i right.
Hope not cause the games i watched whole team sh.. themselves even our 2x MVP

Weird time to go to bat for Morey. Yes he was very savvy in stealing Harden but has done an objectively poor job since, and has flipped the key parts on that roster multiple times squandering assets in the process.

Statistically, Giannis was still great, and Bledsoe was atrocious.
