He's not gonna get paid like Novak though, he's gonna get a lot of money to be a specialist. I look at the players and try to think about whether or not he'd get any play in series like the one tonight, and I just don't see where he'd go. The Celtics just had 2 guards and 3 wings on the court, he isn't guarding any of those guys and on the other end they can guard him because Tatum and Jaylen are big wings.

I get the Heat play good defense, but throughout the playoffs, for a "Very Good" team, Boston seems to waste a decent number of possessions per game, where they just don't look that great or organized in their set, kind of take a low % shot.

We can't go from 1 extreme to the next, from not having shooters to completely overvaluing them because of it. If we haven't made the playoffs by 2022 something has gone wrong, because we should be able to build a solid base this offseason, and then expand on it next offseason. I'm more optimistic than most, blowing caps pace on specialists in a changing NBA is a bad move in my opinion.
