I'd love to re-sign Fred to a 4 year/70 to 75 mill deal. Bring Ibaka back on a big one year deal or a team friendly 3/4 year deal.

Unpopular opinion but then I'd see if Lowry would welcome a trade to Philly, which I'm sure he would. Lowry for Josh Richardson and another good asset would be great since Richardson is on a very team friendly deal.

Fvv
Richardson
OG
Siakam
Ibaka

This would Youngen our core and still allow us to have enough assets to make a Giannis splash or wait until 2021. Flame away lol.

I like Baynes, Hernangomez and Plumlee off that list. Plumlee is probably just as good a passer as Marc Gasol and makes up for Gasol's lack of athleticism. He kind of reminds me of Theis, underrated athletic big man. Baynes is probably one of the better stretch 5's in the league and sets some of the hardest screens. He's very similar to Gasol on D where he's smart as a positional defender. Hernangomez has a high IQ, he kind of reminds me of Scola on offense.

Ibaka should be priority number 1 and if we manage to grab one of these guys after re-signing Ibaka I'd be happy with that.

Demarcus Cousins. Worth a try for a season.

LMAO some people want to trade Kyle?

This guy's the heart and soul of the team and an amazing defender. He's exactly the prototype of an established team member you SHOULDN'T trade.

So there's this thing called a salary cap, your moving $30 million in salary for $65 million plus Harris and Horford have two of the top 5 worst deals in the league. Harris is suited to play the PF not a SF he's shown that's not he's spot. That Toronto deal has no future and is capped out and isn't that great. Anunoby isn't a SG as well. This is just terrible it would take multiple picks from Philly to get Toronto to accept this

Honestly, even with the picks, I still wouldn't do it.

Even if it were possible, taking on both of those guys means we're locked into the second round at best for the next 5 years. No thanks.

He's also aging and expiring.

Maybe it's better for both parties that we send him somewhere that he's not only needed, but somewhere he can win. Instead of letting him expire next year getting nothing.

But - only if he wants to be traded. I wouldn't be shopping him.

I don't like any of these guys except for Noel, Favors, Baynes.

The NBA has gotten to a point where you need to have a decent 30-35% 3pt shooting center.

Noel although perhaps garbage from 3, is very damn good offensively and a rim protector.

I'd love to have him as a backup and Ibaka as a full time center.

A forward/center rotation of ; Ibaka / Noel , Siakam / with either Boucher or Baynes would be amazing man.

Defense, athelticism, 3 pt shooting, rim protection, and rebounding.

I'd love to have our team bring back a tone of athelticism and uptempo. The Celts definitely showed us the difference they had with their athletic bigs.

The only way you take Horfords contract , or Tobias's , is if they send out Embiid/Simmons with one of them PLUS picks.

Both Horford and Tobias are disgusting man, and Philly is in cap hell.

I would even go as far as to say, if I was Philly's GM, I'd trade Tobias + Embiid for lesser talent coming back. Maybe a border star + 3+D guy.

To preserve capspace, we probably have to fork out a big 1 year deal to the starting center we sign. I'm thinking Ibaka or Favours would be our best options... I think it's most likely we retain Ibaka.

The backup center would probably receive the minimum contract so that probably takes us out of the running for Noel. That would leave our best options as Gasol or Baynes... if those guys won't come, I'm thinking maybe Tristan Thompson. With a reduced role as an energy big off the bench as well as reduced minutes, there's still potential for him to improve his productivity.

Little 5 way trade. Just playing around so don't freak out on me. My objective here is to get a top pick for Kyle and take back no contracts for 2021.

Raps trade: Kyle, McCaw, Stanley
Raps get: 2nd overall(GS), Adams (expiring), Frankie Smokes (expiring RFA)

Total out 38.5 m, total in: 33 m

Philly trades: Horford, Richardson, Thybulle, #21 overall
Philly gets: Lowry, Stanley, McCaw
Total out: 41 m, Total in: 38.5 m

Knicks trade: Randle, Frankie and #8
Knicks get: CP3, Thybulle
Total out: 25m, Total in: 44m Knicks take additional salary into cap space.

OKC trades: CP3, Adams
OKC gets: #21, Horford, Randle
Total out: 68 m, Total in: 30.5 OKC receives a massive TPE.

GS trades: #2 pick, TPE
GS gets: #8 pick, Richardson
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Re-sign Fred at 4 years $80-90M.

Re-sign Serge for 1 year at what he'd get for 2 years elsewhere (say $20M?).

Look to add Harry Giles on a 1 + Team Option for around what RHJ got ($3M).

Then count on TD to make a jump given all the playing time he got this year.

Why wouldn't you think of scenarios though? Of course timing is everything and Masai likely will not end his competitive advantage by trading KL. The real question is should Fred be the starting point guard next year vs. being a swing guard or does that even matter? We really have a backcourt of two point guards or two shooting guard if there is any difference as far as Nurse is concerned.
