I didn't realize Chris Farley from an alternate universe traveled to our timeline to become a baseball player.

I'm disappointed, yet a bit indifferent on the transgressions this year.

Yes, we could've spent more on Moustakas/Grandal. Given how it's going, I don't see them as major enough upgrades to get this team to be much more competitive this year. So in theory, if the Brewers want to put their chips in the middle again next year (and they probably will to some degree, they signed Yelich to that massive deal), I am fine losing out on a few more wins this year to not be paying age 32-34 Moustakas and Grandal.

Grisham has come back down to earth a bit, but yeah, that one may be a tough pill to swallow. I thought we got away with robbery in that trade.

They probably should continue this soft reset for 1 more year. Trade Hader at some point next year. They'll probably do another big splash going into 2022 given that the books are pretty clean at that point. Cain's last year will probably be the only bad deal on the books.

The thing that sucks is guys like Narvaez who are finally coming around are going to have **** numbers at the end of the year. It is very likely just a tough 20-30 games to the season and then he returned to being the good hitter that he was already...but doubt is left in your mind.

Haudricourt doesn’t even know what year it is.

Very curious move to say the least.

Burnes is the league leader in wins above replacement among pitchers (2.6), ERA (1.77), strikeouts per nine innings (13.34), hits per nine innings (4.98) and opponents’ batting average (.158).

With one more start left, if he's dominance against the Cards he's got to be the Cy Young front runner right?

Gamel out the rest of regular season with a quad injury.

This has been a truly wild turnaround from last season. So happy for him, personally speaking, not to mention what it has meant for the team.

Law on the top under 25 year old players in the playoffs:

3. Trent Grisham, 23, San Diego (2.3 fWAR)

The Padres acquired Grisham from Milwaukee this winter in a four-player deal that also brought over Zach Davies (1.3 fWAR in 12 starts) for Luis Urías and Eric Lauer, who were both just under replacement level in 2020, so I’d say that worked out rather well for San Diego. (Maybe employing more scouts is a good thing after all?) Grisham showed great patience and power for the second year in a row, and was a shockingly competent defender in center field, despite lacking great speed.

No Brewers made it.
