It might be a little bit about making each of these series run as deep as possible. We missed months of tv game time. It's makeup time. It seems to have forced more series this year into a gritty final couple of games at least.

Those are the same elements that could win the series for Miami. The Heat still have the advantage.

The Celtics won game 3 by putting Smart on Dragic. It will be interesting to see how Miami responds to that move.

The simple introduction of a new piece on the game table has to throw the opponent a little. Like you said, see how they respond yet. In fact I'd love to see this series go to seven, but in say game 5 if Celtics ever built a bit of a lead, see Taco come off the bench for a few minutes just to add that wrinkle. See what answer heat have for that knuckleball in the moment. Just to mess with them.

Strange contradictory post. A healthy Hayward provides all of those things significantly better than the players whose minutes he's replacing (ie. Wanamaker and Semi)

Hayward, indeed, is a difference maker.

Lots of bricked open 3s. It happens. Boston almost lost it in the 4th again. Idk what's up with that. If we can't come out with the energy we ended the game with, Boston will railroad us again.

What in the **** was Jimmy doing all game?

I said it multiple times, Tatum on Butler, Smart on Dragic, that's what the C's should've done earlier. I was really happy with what Tatum was able to do against Butler the past 2 games. On the other hand, Tatum struggled against Herro, kid's 180 pounds and way too quick for Jayson to run around screens with.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

One day to avoid competing with Monday Night Football, and another day probably because they flipped the WCF and ECF games to be on more similar schedules (ECF Game 3 was played before WCF Game 2).

Tacko won't be able to defend anyone in this series though. But I get your point, even though I disagree with it. Celtics need to roll with their best guys in order to beat a team as smart and disciplined as Miami, and that means Tatum, Brown, Kemba, Hayward, Smart, Theis, and Grant Williams. With Hayward back, Wanamaker won't even be needed anymore. Kanter could be used in spot minutes if we need buckets, but he's a defensive liability most of the time.

I could see how you think that but the real question is, what will Jimmy do with Big Face Coffee when the Celtics win the series in 6?

They only lost because Jimmy was tired. He’s been prepping a lot of marketing materials for the upcoming Big Face Coffee IPO.

With the extra time off, he should be able to get his ducks in a row. Heat in 5.

The real question is how they’re going to enact social distancing measures in Miami when the championship parade arrives in October

Heat in 4 actually because Celtics are forfeiting the game they won so the whole team can attend baby Hayward’s birth

I don't know what you guys are on about. The writing is on the wall. Hayward is back. It's over for the HEAT. Jimmy was tired? He is the CEO of Big Face Coffee. He's never felt this amount of clean organic energy before. The Celtics are taking this, I'm no homer and could see that, plan as day. I already sent my 2020 HEAT Championship shirt to Africa.

To be honest, the biggest thing that worries me is that I heard through multiple sauces that Jimmy spoke to Hayward about becoming the Chief Barrista at Big Face. Sauces indicate that Hayward may have even grown his mustache out in anticipation of his new role. Im worried he may soon leave the bubble to scout new locations for Big Face when they expand post IPO

I think we all can agree while the rest may get a player like Hayward to heal up- waiting 3 days for another game sucks

Why is there a gap in between games three and four? The Lakers/Nuggets played last night, but they play again before Boston/Miami. How does that make sense?

They didn't want a game on monday night because of MNF. So, Tues could have been our game but as it would be game 4 for us and game 3 for lakers, they are switching it to lakers to get the 2 series closer to limit massive days off at the end, which may be a moot point if the lakers win in 4 as the east has a much better chance of going 7.

The Celtics cheated and told the NBA to delay, or else, and the league obliged. The Celtics wanted more rest for Hayward to recover from his ankle sprain.

The basketball gods will see right through this, though— Heat in 5.

League is rigged for the Celtics and Lakers, right?
