Yeah we did, but we stretched his massive contract so it's 5 million per year. We still have 2 more years to pay his ass. :banghead:

I can't believe Deng's contract is the 5th highest salary on this roster... Thanks Mitch...

It's hard to explain why he has such a high on/off in the playoffs though. His defense has been really good. Perhaps that why.

Danny Green leaves San Antonio...they collapse. Danny leaves Toronto this year....don’t make the finals again. Kawhi leaves Danny...2nd round exit.

Danny Green is a member of an elite defensive club. He’s our Rick Fox / Horry type in terms of his impact defensively.

His shots will fall when it really matters.

Defense.

I think people have been down on him because of the shooting but his defense has been tremendous. I think keeping him is the right choice but I do think Lakers need another guy his size that can defend 2 to 4. Another SF as a backup.

Lot of his defense comes from his head.

I mean, yeah, cerebrally, he is on it, but
his physical head is too long for the opponent to get around.

I don't care what anybody says, shooting 1-4 with 4 fouls and with a staggering 4 points is NOT worth 15 million by any means. We could've got Melo for a fraction of that price tag and he would've helped a lot more than Danny Red.

I'd start Kuz over Green.

I would have up until this series... He looked good all bubble up until I think about halfway through the Houston series, since then Kuz has been terrible... Green has been too though, but at least with Green, he's less likely to make the complete bone-head plays Kuz has been making recently...

I was really starting to root for Kuz after a couple seasons of trying to point out the fact that he sucked to people who thought he was Jayson Tatum... But man... He's been really bad the last couple games...

And Green... All season dudes were ripping Green, and I was defending him, but he's been awful the last couple games too...

Really, at this point just want both gone.

I'd legit start THT over either of them at this point... He may screw up, but at least you can say "Well he's just a rookie"

People think that danny Green is a good defender. So good we can't even play him down the stretch and have to have Lebron guard their star guard. Green sucks

Green has barely been a net positive defender in the playoffs and he's been a black hole on offense, especially in the series against the Nuggets where he's shooting an amazing 28% from 3.

His opponents are shooting 44.7% from the field in these playoffs, which puts him about right in the middle of the 4 teams remaining right now. His opponents are shooting 37.1% from 3, which makes him one of the worst outside defenders in the playoffs (together with Kuzma).

He's not looking very good on both ends of the floor so far, especially against Denver.

I honestly gave Danny Green the benefit of the doubt throughout the regular season, thinking he would turn it on and play good enough to warrant his contract. Unfortunately for 15m per year, he has been the worst player value wise. I'm wondering if we could ship him off somewhere next season with a pick or something so we could get a bigger salary cap going into next season.
