It was a dogfight to get in the EC playoffs last season. I can only imagine how hard the path will be this season as well. There will be some seemingly good EC teams with some ugly/mediocre records just cuz there will be no nights off. And some good teams will be on the outside looking in come playoff time.

Injuries and depth will be key now more than ever.

Even if Mecca gave up two 1sts to keep LeVert, it was a smart play by him. His team will be so good, giving up picks is ideal as opposed to giving up a good cheap player, whose best SIM days are ahead of him. Any 1st from Brooklyn wasn't of much value anyway.

Embiid + Dame is the best duo in the league. And he still has Oladipo, LeVert, and Jones Jr. too.

Then with LeVert+Dipo as 3rd and 4th pieces...that is a tough team (would not be happy if I was an eastern conference contender )

What if no valuable picks are included? Will we hear the usual “VETO” banter? (I’d vote against that btw, cause I think GMs should be able to run their teams however they choose for the most part).

I respect & commend Kfan92 for having the balls to build HIS way- and I hope it works out for him, but I know we can’t be trying justify in any way that Dame for Simmons is a fair deal at this time in their careers. Dame is arguably top 5. Let’s be honest here.

Anyhow, I’m glad he’s leaving the Western Conference. Not our problem anymore lol.

I think AD won it 2 years ago (but I remember Lillard either being runner up or right up there). And yes LeBron was a beast last year. I guess I was more referring to the postseason where Embiid was unstoppable. That is one killer duo.
