I respect & commend Kfan92 for having the balls to build HIS way- and I hope it works out for him, but I know we can’t be trying justify in any way that Dame for Simmons is a fair deal at this time in their careers. Dame is arguably top 5. Let’s be honest here.

Anyhow, I’m glad he’s leaving the Western Conference. Not our problem anymore lol.

Yeah it won't be a veto level deal (especially since its between two vets).

I haven't called for a veto yet even though I have strongly gave my opinions on a few deals. The only two scenarios I think a veto would ever be put into consideration if the GM was either leaving or a new GM was taking over (that always throws up red flags to me).

If its between two long standing members they have every right to build the way they want (even if we disagree with the value).

I mean if Kyrie Irving for FREE isn’t a veto deal, then nothing else I’m afraid. While we all respect what Smash does as a GM, he gave away one of the elite players for nothing.

As long as the GM doesn’t quit right after the deal, I just don’t see how someone can invoke basketball reasons in this.

in perspective Smash is clearly banking on his top level FA rating along with him have a top star player as well to potentially get multiple contributing players instead of just Kyrie with a loaded FA class. The trade value will def ride on who Smash fills with that cap space.

He also got a 1st round pick and nearly $400 in cap space, and we know how valuable cap space is in the game.

There is a pick involved just to ease everyone's minds.

I guess I genuinely value Simmons more than most here. Guys who are all defense/all NBA level before age 24 don't grow on trees.

there are a lot of "baf political issues" that you are not aware off because you are not around much...

pulling you out of this deal and commenting on the general air of it...

I dont see the same energy...but its all good- im not surprised...

I'm not convinced that I couldn't have built a better team with the space.

Lowry
Ibaka
***other smaller moves that I don't wish to say at this time***

And I'd have my pick and potentially some space left over.

Was very possible.

Spoiler:
I also got Jeff Green, remember, and Jeff Green is awesome.

Lillard
Oladipo
LeVert
Jones Jr.
Embiid

Good luck y’all.

FWIW— anyone discrediting Ben Simmons needs their hoops card revoked. One of the 4-6 best best defenders in the game, and is one of only 3 players to avg 17/8/8
In their careers at 23. Y’all let hoffa the novice fan poison y’all damn brains.

And real hoop heads know how important Dante is too the Bucks future. Already a top tier defender, he’s their next piece that has to pop.

Y’all know Ben Simmons is a 23 year old 2x all-star already with a career 17/8/8 and all NBA defense right???? He’s one of the top 15-20 players in the NBA not really debatable.
