The athletic has had him mocked to us there for months

I liked him at first because of the lazy Siakam comparison but I honestly think he's very raw in terms of skill. Probably would need more than a year in the dleague, I wouldn't hate the pick but it wouldn't be my first choice there especially depending on what kinda player we took at 29

im not too choosy about 59 but I wouldn't mind the pick, don't think he's got Siakam upside but he could be like a decent 3nD bench guy.

Hes very athletic and has some shooting upside. I dont really mind it especially w/ 905 reps or the FO might like the option of stashing him and not needing to give up the roster spot now

Ya, next year Amar Sylla would have Siakam potential.

So many better choices at #59 like Diakite, Mane, Diane, Markus Howard, and also other potential droppers.

If they like Eboua, just sign him in a few years if he improves.

But they have similar measurements and reports say good motor, so he has ask much potential as Siakam during college. I think Eboua is more on the Bruno Caboclo level prospect.

I ran into Dan Tolzman. He told me Raptors are taking Daniel Oturu and Trevelin Queen.

I think what separates Pascal from the others is that Pascal is a ridiculous athlete with an elite motor. Pascal has a good IQ and he's skilled. Pascal is a very special player and i bet we dont see anyone similar for a long time. Just like how every draft there's a "next draymond" and "next Kawhi'. Its seldom actually the case

Sylla wasn't even the best young player on his team, Mario Nakic is more interesting imo.

I would pick Hughes this draft. He has a 6-10 wingspan at 6-6 that nearly Norm level length. He's an incredible shooter, explosive, confident, and I'm confident in his defense. Syracuse's team defense/zone would prepare him a bit for Nurse's system and he's probably decent enough at communicating on that end to not be a complete liability.

A players FT% over their college career is very telling as well. He's improved in that regard and others over the past few seasons. Taking him with our first would mean we're not getting a potential superstar but he's a solid player that could come off the bench next to that big piece.

That and he was placed in a scenario to be the do all and be all for Syracuse. It affected his efficiency but in our system he wouldn't have to carry that burden and just play. It did force him to be more of a shot creator which we desperately need in our rotation.

I thought of that earlier, but after the playoffs, I am curious about how impactful would a big C does.
I certainly like to look at some future PF/C (rim protector with 3 point potential), as I am unsure about Hernandez with a 7'1 wingspan, maybe future backup C. But the bright side is that getting a C from FA isn't so difficult, maybe I should focus at the forward spot, which could be more impactful.

Udoka Azubuike would get run off the floor so fast in the NBA. Guards and Wings will put him in the blender. He'll be a good shot blocker though with his sheer size.

He will be going against Jokic, Gobert, Embiid type of C, I suppose.
More of a situational C even he gained a 3 point shot.

Me either. I think he has a lot of good things going for him at his size. I actually just think he needs to just work on his lower body more so he doesn't lose balance as easy as he does in the post. He moves very similarly to Embiid to me. He also made a huge improvement over his career and is still pretty young for the draft.

Even Cassius could see himself succeeding in Toronto. Perfect fit for him to be the bridge to the new era post-Kyle.

Realgm reactions:
“Fire masai!”

“He was on my radar. Huge potential.”

“Bruno 2.0”

“Scouting report says he is a hybrid of Yao Ming, Steph curry and milt pilacio.”

Totally. Every year this board does a great job of highlighting good looking picks, which we then almost never take.

We live in a copy cat league but the Heat's success, and previously the Warriors', shows how effective it can be to have three point shooters who are constantly moving, rather than standing still and spitting up. Guys who can dribble and pass a bit, and shoot off the catch. That way you don't need a true facilitator or creator, a guy who can break down defenses, as the defense is always in chaos as it chases around two threats. Teams are forced to use a box and two or triangle and three (which not all teams are comfortable with) especially if those shooters are really dangerous. That's why guys like Terry, Bane, Joe, Pritchard, Flynn, Tillie, Ramsey, Howard, Merrill, could be attractive.
