Him and Boylen often butted heads. Jimbo was a clown though, Billy will have everyone’s respect from day 1

Wait what? Always acted up with Boylen? Did you even watch Bulls games or talking out of your ass?

Yes did you watch any games? Lol. Maybe not always but there were a few times where Lavine clearly mocks Boylens timeouts, sometimes blamed him when talking to the media and there was the time where Boylen benched him earlier than usual and Lavine got really upset even though he was terrible during that game.

Lavine could be right about some things but Boylen was the coach and should have respected him. Don’t matter if Boylen was a clown, still have to be professional.Hopefully that attitude doesn’t carry over to Donovan but I’m afraid if the team starts losing or If Lavine doesn’t like some coaching decision he will probably act the same way.

More than anything what the Bulls need is a head coach that will make sure they're ready to play every night. They haven't had that since Thibs. If that's Donovan it should be a good season.

People on tv have no credibility with me if they are using words like "ain't" like a hillbilly A second, the Bulls do have good players just that nobody knows about them because of how irrelevant the franchise had become.

I think with a real coach the right players will start and develop.

Yeah I just hope Lavine dont plan on another mutiny or mockery of a coach after Billy reduces him to a 30mpg 2nd option guy if they thought Lauri was the cornerstone of this franchise. Yes Boylen is a clown but Lavine you benefited the most. So shut up and just play as the supposed leader without making noises.
Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!

Everything I've seen about Donovan says he's a guy who fits the schemes to the players not the player to the scheme and that he's very good at helping players maximize their talent wherever they are in the depth chart. Sounds ideal for Lavine.

1. okc is immediately pivoting to trading cp3 away because they rehabbed his value. they didn't trade for him to "help their rebuild"; they took him on because they got a bunch of draft picks and dumped another bad contract. we'd be buying high on a 35 year old with $85 million still due to him

You're right, they didn't trade for him for that reason but he still did help accelerate their rebuild.

2. i dunno how much free agents care about joining a team that earned, like, the 7th seed on the back of chris paul when the only reason we have cap space is because chris paul is leaving

Well, the hope is that he makes Lauri and co. seem like desirable players to play with.

3. when chris paul expires, lauri will be on his second contract and lavine/wendell will be free agents. the timeline doesn't really make a ton of sense to try to elevate this roster and then make a big free agent splash?

Perhaps. All I'm saying is that I'm open to trading for Paul given that he and Donovon clearly work well together. Personally, I think rehabbing Lauri's value (or ideally helping him take a step towards stardom) is this current team's best shot at competing. Since Lauri is so unassertive, I think it's vital to have a playmaker that seeks him out. Paul, in my opinion, would accomplish that.

Pretty much sums up his run in OKC as he never could to the mark.

No not at all. Sato would not start. He is a fringe NBA player. I’m willing to bet my bottom dollar that Sato will not be starting for the bulls this season.

Here’s the thing about Sato that everybody should know. You can’t have your point guard in your starting line up averaging 9 points and 5 assist and 32 percent from 3. While putting up those stats you can’t be a bad defender on top of that. His basketball IQ is extremely low as well. I don’t think Billy Donavan is going to put up with that.
