I think Heat do everything they can to keep him.

What’s everyone’s opinion on DJ Augustine? Seems like he could be a good target as an FA especially if we part with one or both of Bled/Hill. Trading for CP3 and getting Augustine as a backup?

I've always liked Augustin, but the last few games i've seen him, it's clear he's lost a step, and he's coming up on 33 - it's a no from me.

And as much as I like Dragic, signing him at his age would be a sucker's bet, tbh.

I'd love to roll the dice on him, but his contract is such a killer. Love is already 32 and has 3 more years left on his deal. We would have to lose Lopez in the process too.

Much rather go after Blake. Only this year and next year and helps a bit with our playmaking problems. I am just not sure if we can cobble enough money to get him without losing any of our guards.

We wouldn't HAVE to lose Lopez, but I DO wonder if we can get Sexton thrown into the deal. I wonder what Bud could do with him. He has the super 6th man scoring chops. Or Garland for that matter.

He's very hard to get in S&Ts due to the BYC.

Just means we need to find a 3rd team that has A) cap space and B) interest in Bledsoe. New York makes the most sense to me. If they are willing to deal Knox + 27 and absorb the difference in Bled's salary, then we reroute those assets to SAC along with Wilson + 24. I could definitely see Rose/Thibs being all over that kind of value.

MKE: Bogdanovic
NYK: Bledsoe
SAC: Knox, Wilson, 24, 27

I like that trade, but we'd still need to get a starting pg.

______,Hill
Bogdan, DDV, Wes
Midds, Bogdan
Giannis, Ersan?
Brook, Robin

Doesn't Sacto project to have cap space, though?

I forgot that they would have to be future picks from us and NYK to SAC to make that timeline work, unless SAC is good with who we draft at those spots.

So you turn Hill/Ilyasova/Robin/24 into a viable starter at PG as a precursor to the Bogdan S&T.

I think he very well might get a massive 1 year deal like people are saying with Dragic. If that doesn't happen though there just aren't many options. There's only 6 teams expected to have any cap space this offseason:

Atlanta
Charlotte
Detroit
Miami (until they re-sign Crowder and Dragic and then they're probably done)
New York
Phoenix

Not sure how many of those teams will want to give a big contract to him as a 32 year old with durability issues. Certainly wouldn't be shocked if someone gives him a good deal but I wouldn't be shocked if he's roughly a MLE guy either.
Yeah Galo could end up being the biggest loser of this weird off-season. I just don't see OKC bringing him back.

Phoenix is a possibility because they are going to try to win but there's so many different ways they could go with their cap space. Weird side note Galo played with Booker's dad in italy.

If he loses the game of musical chairs I could see him do a 1 year deal for the MLE and he'd be a great get for the Bucks. Not exactly the answer to all their problems but a legit talent upgrade.

I wasn't aware cap space was that tight. For a guy like Galo maybe it leads to sign/trade.

Also, overall is it logical to think that landscape is good for the Bucks? As in it could make potential targets of ours have to work in sign/trade situations to get where they want to be, and obviously we have no space so it opens us up to them?

Between the two I'd much rather have Garland. Sexton has big Brandon Knight energy, so maybe we could right old wrongs and reroute him to Phoenix for Bridges.

Is Paul Millsap totally washed at this point?

Thinking about bigs we could pick up if Giannis were to play more 5.

He's still solid. I know he's publicly said he's hoping to be re-signed though.

I realize Sexton has big Brandon Knight energy. We miscast Knight as our number one option and asked him to do far too much. Knight, however, on this squad, would bring us the things we really lack from a shot creation standpoint. Sexton does those things more efficiently, from a scoring standpoint, than Knight was ever able to and does so at all three levels.

Garland probably brings us more long term upside whereas Sexton fills an enormous need. Both given the stages of their development, have unrealized potential.

And is only 21 years old. I have no idea on his personality and such, but if your research makes you think he has a good attitude and is coachable he seems to have the skillset we need.

Then if we can flip Embiid for a legit G I'm on board. Otherwise I feel like we just became the 2020 Sixers. You'd end up with your top 3 of Giannis, lead G, Tobes.

Philly laughs that offer off. They're not going to let Harris mitigate Embiid's value should they decide to trade him (they won't).

Maybe Philly isn't interested in moving him for better fitting pieces around Simmons, but they're lying to themselves if they think Embiid is going to fetch a king's ransom at this point. He's not the same foundational trade asset that he was even a couple years ago, and I don't really see them doing a whole lot better than a package based around a 29-year old All-Star wing.
