Think he's good enough to be in a playoff rotation. In a perfect world you'd probably want more for the pick but it's such a safe bet Osman provides more value.

If PP’s dream to get Rolo came true, I don’t see why it can’t happen for you and Cedi.

He's very hard to get in S&Ts due to the BYC.

Just means we need to find a 3rd team that has A) cap space and B) interest in Bledsoe. New York makes the most sense to me. If they are willing to deal Knox + 27 and absorb the difference in Bled's salary, then we reroute those assets to SAC along with Wilson + 24. I could definitely see Rose/Thibs being all over that kind of value.

MKE: Bogdanovic
NYK: Bledsoe
SAC: Knox, Wilson, 24, 27

The word 'just' is kinda misplaced here. NBA trades are teams constantly trying to pulling one over another.
Now to facilitate this trade you need a) a team capable of taking on salary on without sending as much back b) with an interest in Bledsoe so much that c) they're willing to send value in return.

The only 3 teams I could see satisfying a) and b) are NYK, GS and possibly ATL. Now these teams will fight tooth and nail to not satisfy c) especially when they're realising that they're essential to such a deal. Maybe if all three are interested they're trying to undercut each other.

Meanwhile we have to convince Bogdan that we're the best landing spot for him & have to convince Sacto to trade him to us over biding their time & eventually matching or trading him to some other team that is willing to outbid us.

Also trading Bledsoe puts us out of contention for other targets like CP3, Kemba, McCollum, etc..

If we wanted Bogdan badly the time to trade for him was until the last trade deadline. The ship has sailed now.

Edit: And I probably should have lead with that: A S&T hardcaps us.

Doesn't Sacto project to have cap space, though?

No. They have some expirings but Buddies extension is coming up which will swallow about all of that. Depending where the cap lands and if Parker opts out and they renounce everyone/waive Bjelica they might slide under the cap. That said I have Jabari opting in and Bjelica valueable on his contract so imo there's no chance.

Their entire offseason focus is to replace him, and he's been below replacement level his whole career, so I think they'd be happy to dump him. I had high hopes for him, but despute his hustle,, he just doesn't accomplish anything besides the shooting. He appears to be the Turkish Tony Snell.

Worth a gamble that our coaching staff can get more out of him? Maybe, there's a massive shortage of available combo forwards. We just have to see what we have left after we fill the PG spot. Maybe we offer a few 2nd rounders instead. They've made numerous deals for 2nd rounders.

Not sure Cleveland wants to just get off Cedi’s deal (which is really reasonable), but if so I’d trade an expiring/2nd in a hot minute.

Ersan has a non guaranteed salary so they can simply cut him.

Also to sign and trade for Gallo you would likely need Bledsoe’s salary to match.

How gettable do you think Derrick White really is? I would love to get him as I think he’s a breakout borderline all-star candidate, but I have to imagine the spurs think highly of him, too. I would love to grab white and Bogdan (which my phone autocorrected to big Dan and I very much love it for that) but I really don’t know how we get both teams to bite with the little resources we have.

Bucks trade
DDV
#24
RoLo
Ersan
Wilson

Kings trade
Hield
Bjelica
#42

Bucks trade
Bledsoe (to Minnesota)

Minny trades (to Phoenix)
Johnson
#17

Phoenix trades (to Milwaukee)
Rubio

These moves accomplish getting straight up shooters in Hield and Bjelica (Hield being a premier pull up guy really helps) and a premier playmaker the Bucks have lacked and good defender.

This puts the bucks into the Lux so who knows if it’s viable but in this dream scenario the Bucks convince Joe Harris to take the MLE and bring back Dragan for the LLE.

Rubio/Hill/Mason
Hield/Matthews
Middleton/Harris
Giannis/Bjelica
Lopez/Bender

Thanasis and the second rounder fill out the roster.

I don't think even the Spurs are as high on White as a lot of people here. I really don't get the fascination. As much as they've become relegated to treadmill status in recent years, Popovich and the Spurs' system still has a way of making these quality role-players look better than they actually are. Not saying I wouldn't want a guy like him on my team, but not really buying that he has the talent to be any sort of "breakout star".

There’s no way in hell SAC takes that deal for Buddy straight up let alone throwing in a Bjelica and their 2nd.

Then you’d trade Bledsoe essentially straight up for Rubio? Rubios a worse player on all fronts.

Is anyone willing to provide a quick recap of our roster contract situation, in terms of who is a UFA/RFA and also who is on an expiring next year? Thanks!

UFA: Kyle Korver, Pat Connaughton, Marvin Williams (but he's retiring anyways)
RFA: Sterling Brown, Frank Mason, Cam Reynolds
Player Options: Robin Lopez, Wes Matthews

Expirings:
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Thanasis Antetokounmpo
Donte DiVincenzo (but we have a team option on him for another year)
George Hill (technically two years left but the 2nd year is pretty much non-guaranteed)
Ersan Ilyasova (could be waived this year for cap savings)
DJ Wilson
Robin Lopez/Wes Matthews if they opt in.

funny to see all these trades that are centered around the idea of "How do we get CP3, Schroder, and Gallo? Now THAT would be a team!"

Except that team already exists and they also have SGA.

If you truly love something, set it free.

Giannis for Adams is a salary match, and then it just comes down to a massive pile of draft picks which they are well equipped to dish out. Another small market for Giannis to avoid the press. Maybe some of us could even make the move and grab season tix.

I just dont see any feasible trade that truly moves a needle for us. Sorry.

Pop kept Derrick White on team USA over much better players. Might keep messing around with acquiring him in trade machine deals but I don’t see the Spurs moving him.

Spencer Hawes corpse also comes off the books after next season.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Alright, you guys inspired me to spice up my Cleveland idea if they need more incentive to deal Sexton:

MKE In: Sexton, Osman, Poole, Ennis
Out: Bled, 24, Future 2nd

CLE In: Wiggins, Ross, 2, Future MKE 2nd
Out: Love, Sexton, Osman

GSW In: Love, 24
Out: Wiggins, Poole, 2

ORL In: Bledsoe
Out: Ross, Ennis

A guy like Bryn Forbes probably helps this team just as much, except he wouldn't cost you anything more than a room exception or minimum contract. Belinelli would also be cheap shooting option. Really the only guy I'd be interested in giving up assets for on the Spurs is Lonnie Walker.
