Hm, apparently it is legal for the police to break into your house unannounced, and if you exercise your 2nd amendment rights to fire a gun at them to defend your property, they can summarily execute you without consequence.

Apparently so....

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

But they need to make sure not to put bullet holes into anyone else's walls. That's crossing the line.

There’s only one remedy to change. Vote. Vote early. Vote in person and vote in huge numbers that the results can’t be argued.
I’m going to keep posting this every time someone says Democrats don’t do anything for black people or are just as bad as Republicans. Y’all are going to hate me lol

I haven't read it, only read articles about it so if I'm wrong I'm wrong
Making chokeholds illegal is the same as passing a minimum wage law, imo. Completely useless. Actually worse than min wage because it's also unenforceable with unlimited immunity (or whatever it's called). Tell me when the Dems propose cutting the prison population by 75% by freeing all non violent offenders and using non-incarceration solutions for half of the violent offenders.
But you make my point for me. A 21st century dem is for defunding the police and legalizing marijuana. Who did we choose to represent us? A 70 year old dude whose biggest claim to fame is authoring the crime bill that got us into this mess in the first place.
Why don’t you read the bill before commenting? Then read the details from the Republicans bill that passed through Senate, oh wait............

Dammit, I was going to do absentee ballot, but I'm going to vote in person - because he's clearly going to try to pull some bs - even though he obviously has no evidence and no case whatsoever. Hard to believe something like that could happen here in the US - something that would have been unimaginable before Trump. Even a loaded Supreme Court wouldn't... right?

Great minds...
My absentee/mail in ballot is on it's way to me but I think I have the option to turn it in
and vote in person. This is now my plan. And do it early.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XXIX
yeah you have to take your mail in ballot and drop it off in person. That's the optimal strategy. Tricky - I went to the library up the street from me, there was a guy sitting there at the "register to vote" booth and asked him if I'd be able to drop my ballot off there and HE DIDN'T KNOW.
Yikes.

Trump's lack of English language skills always leaves some deniability for anything he says, but is he saying
If we don't hold a vote"Get rid of the ballots,
conflict will be eliminatedwe'll have a very peaceful transfer.
and I will remain presidentThere won't be a transfer, frankly,
for life?we'll have a continuation."

I'm so exhausted by this clown and politics in general. Every phone call, conversation, article, tv show, youtube ad, etc turns political. Voting D for the first time in my life this November just so there's hopefully some return to normalcy.

That's the spirit.
I've been telling all the Republicans on my timeline on Twitter that maybe it's time for the GOP to die a dignified death to be replaced by a party that actually has principles that it applies logically consistently, rather than "do whatever we can get away with to maintain white supremacy."
I think there are a lot of moderate Dems that would join that party, tbh.

1) @Ruz and @Dobro, doesn't matter what you do, trump's going to contest it. there would be 0 mail-in ballots filed and he'll still contest it.
2) @AFM, boy do i have some literature for you. once, i too identified as a republican.
