He has had success with different schemes, so the narrative that he only coaches one strict system is questionable
Also, Embiid as only a post-up option is what really trips them up at the end of tight games - he has not developed his passing and vision to the point where he isn't turning the ball over way too much in those situations
Using Embiid differently and more creatively is probably the team's best path forward, regardless if who the next coach is

That link is using Pompey as its source. Which means it came from Sixer ownership. Which means it's not reliable.

In lieu of being in the actual FO, I'm afraid that Pompey might be the only source to pay attention to. Additionally, it would be pretty insane for the FO to leak false information about Joel Embiid before a coach. That would just piss him off.

Buddy Hield. Its so obvious and makes so much sense. Just call it in already.
I look at his highlights from the game against the Celtics in November 2019 when he had 35 pts. Not the one a few weeks later where he torched them for 41 pts.
But the 35pt game and then the Jan 2020 game against Minnesota where he dropped 42 points.
Both those games are great examples of what I see him doing in Philly.
He made 14 shots not including free throws in each game. And when people compare him to JJ, I look at those 14 shots and see 8 shots that JJ simply cannot make.
Over half of the shots he took in those games are shots JJ simply can't make and wouldn't take because they involve playmaking or dribbling or being athletic.
That is where I see the biggest difference with JJ and Buddy.
Buddy could be incredibly special with Joel and the right coach.

Most info out there consists of baseless rumors leaked by either FO or other teams, so there isn't much difference between such "info" and a fan speculating.
My take is based on applying logic considering how Embiid feels and all the decisions this org has made. If he now is happy with M_A signing, this means either he is clueless about how he will be rendered useless (in which case his IQ is low and it is probably the best idea to trade him anyway) or he knows about it and will use M_A to force issues between him and the coach, to make an excuse to be traded more easily.
I think Embiid has been unhappy for quite some time now, especially after not resigning Butler and Redick, and that 0-4 sweep was the last straw. What message do you think this org is sending Embiid by trying to sign M_A? "we don't want you", or at least "you are not the priority".
I like it (seems fair for the Pels and more than fair for us), but I feel like Sac would need more to accept.ProcessDoctor wrote:NOP out: Holiday
