Wasn’t Bam’s best game, is the hand an issue or just a bad game?

Patriots dominate the radio up here.

The worst part too is that I don't even think the radio talking heads down here even like the Celtics, or want them to succeed. Always negative, never into the season, and are more interested in trades than games.

They constantly hated IT when he was making that MVP run, always bringing up his height. "Average Al" was a nickname our own town gave Horford for christs sake. Don't get me started on the hatred Marcus Smart used to get in this city until last year...Hayward a bumm. Brad too young. Kids not ready.blah blah blah . They even make fun of us and call us Green Teamers for enjoying and rooting for our team.

Broadcasters in Boston are still stuck in the glory days of the 80's, and hate anything that isn't Larry Bird, Robert Parrish, and Kevin McHale. It's so annoying

Then the standards aren't very high (even though Udonis was a solid player).

Standards aren't just about stats. UD embodies everything this franchise wants from its players. He's easily the most beloved Heat player in franchise history.
We all love Haslem but let’s not get carried away here.

Even more than D Wade?

Don’t get me wrong, even as an outsider I understand UD’s position as a lifetime staple of the heat, but most beloved?

I think so.

he is a home town guy. who grew up rooting for the heat. goes undrafted and starts on their first every championship team where he played BIG. the man has been a captain of this team for a long time. even though he barely gets on the court he is a leader of the team.

he's loved by fans and his teammates alike.

we all love DWade, he's the best player in our franchise. Lebron was better than Wade, but he was a mercenary so it's not the same. But UD is like one of us who made it big and he's never left. He is the only true Heat Lifer.

Hey! Credit to the Celtics for a well-played game. They were fire in the 3rd and didn't let Miami get back into the game.

Looking forward to Sunday. Great series!

Haslem has spent 17 years in a Heat jersey and only a Heat jersey. I'm not sure any franchise wouldn't retire a guy who is loved by the franchise AND spent 17 straight seasons with them without ever leaving.

By this time in the season every player has a nagging injury or two. Bam needed to play better. He missed too many easy shots. Nobody on the Heat played very well. Duncan finished 3-11 from the 3 after the hot start. A bad game for everyone.

I'm still happy with the team. There are 4 teams left. We can still get a ring.

Heat are still winning in 6 though, this is just a bump in the road.

Lakers vs Heat is etched in stone.

You are way ahead of yourself. We have 4 very competitive teams. Nuggets have come back from 3-1 down twice already.

Nah, Celtics and nuggets are poo poo and pee pee. I put 5k on Lakers vs Heat already.

Did Robinson roll his ankle too?

Both teams are banged up (as is every team right now) Game 6 is just massive, I would like to rely less on Tatum for once and have Hayward/Kemba really step up this game.

But you guys are so tough and will come out breathing fire next game

As a Celtics fan I hate it too! It's a crutch for him on his drives and he needs to break that bad habit since they are catching it more and more! Unless your LeMemo James and then it doesn't really matter since the refs will turn a blind eye to it.

I know Theis has been solid for the C’s but what really is Ainge’s long term solution for their big man after Horford? If they had a legit star down low they’d be set. If Ainge somehow landed Embiid without giving up Tatum, Brown they’d have their championship core for a good time I believe.

Yeah that's not happening. They'd have to give up Brown for any Embiid deal, which I think is a bad idea (though Embiid on the C's would be nice too).

I really don't know how we can upgrade our center position, though Theis is only 28 years old amd he's been amazingly solid this year that we don't miss Horford that much. Internal development of our bigs will be good too; I think Time Lord can grow into a starting center role, but that's two years away from realistically happening, I think.

For now, I'm happy with our center rotation, though I must admit that if we're still starting Theis next season, that will be a minor failure on Ainge's part.
