I think I read somewhere that the reason for the Chevron is a symbolic in nature where it's like an arrow pointing North. Kind of silly but I'd prefer that over the maple leave.

Patriotism in sports is WACK period. If its team Canada and they're playing FOR their country? cool! (these would still be ugly) but get that "Canada's team" angle out of here. It's NOT true unless we play home games in city to city. The "We the North" Era died after we won the title. Stop milking this.

When the Raptors won the championship, think about ALL the merch everyone bought including myself. Just a smart business decision to revamp the gear so the consumer will continue buying their products. It will always be a business first.
