The Comedian wrote:Bam will absolutely add a three point shot. His little 10-15 footer has been money for the most part, and he’s good enough from the line where you can see it translating to outside shooting.

I remember something earlier in the year about Butler basically bribing Bam to shoot threes, I may have imagined it though.

I'd be more optimistic if he was shooting long 2s at a good clip. His 10-15 are shots in the paint and he's not exactly a mid range shooter.

You never know though, some guys go through drastic changes. I've been wrong about him before.

From a neutral perspective the most obvious thing after watching five games it’s pretty simple:
If Theis plays like a real big man defensively, Celtics don’t have to go small and their offensive talent is superior to whatever Miami has to offer. The key to the rest of this series is the play of the Celtics bigs.

Unbiased fan of the game here but I'm cheering hard for the Heat here as it's pretty clear they're the good guys and the closet thing to a homegrown team. Everyone complains about how stars like LeBron and Anthony Davis want to play for the Lakers because it's LA, but the reality is that no team in the league has stolen more star players from small market teams than the Boston Celtics

Kemba Walker - Left Charlotte for Boston in free agency
Gordon Hayward - Left Utah for Boston in free agency
Al Horford - Left Atlanta for Boston in free agency
Kyrie - Demanded a trade from small market Cleveland to a larger market which ended up being Boston

The Celtics were getting swept in the first round in the east before they started poaching these players from small markets

Well, Butler does that on every possession. He clears space and either goes for the lay up or the midrange J.

most stars that play physically will get away with it n actually get def fouls instead of O fouls

You left out Smart, Tatum, & Brown, who are probably the 3 best players on their team. LOL at Lakers fans calling out Boston for not being homegrown.

Welcome to the Nu-NBA where the ref baiting, leg kicking, arm flailing, falling down on every 3 and layup subgame is as important as the actual game.

There were two more of these that went the Celtics way. I think Dragic was defending both times. Pretty sickening stuff. Those, combined with the missed goal tend, the long review of Dragic's hostile act, and the fact that I already knew the league would be pushing Boston tonight, are the reason I only watched like 5 minutes of this game.

Yeah I think officiating was horrible this game, on both sides, but there were 2 that really made me go, WHAT??

1. That layup by Dragic where he kneed Theis in the groin area and fouled out shouldn't have been an offensive foul at all, that's just a normal layup with normal range of motion- I don't see any intentional malignancy there
2. Dragic had Theis on him at the 3 point line, pump faked and got Theis in the air and initiated contact- shouldn't have been a foul on Theis. Theis had his hands down, leaning back, and didn't even step into the shooter's landing zone

I honestly can’t believe a Lakers fan posted this without green font.

The Lakers are easily the biggest front running franchise the league has ever seen.

Your team was at the bottom dreaming about getting swept in the playoffs, wasting your picks on Lonzo Ball before LBJ and AD decided to save you.

Have the Celtics been favored in every game?

This is a weird series. Heat are up 3-2, but their 3 wins are a combined 11 points.

Celts have also have had 13+ point leads in 4 of 5 games and have had a fourth quarter lead in every game in this series.

I think, clearly, Boston is the better basketball team. That said, you have to win the games and Boston gave away 2 games.

Going to be very hard for Boston to overcome giving away 2 games. Essentially, for Boston to win the series they will have outplayed the heat in 6 of 7 games.

I think Boston wins a game 7 of it happens. But, for game 6, the heat are due for a ridiculous night from 3.

They could shoot the Celtics out of the playoffs Sunday night .

And before heat fans get made about me saying Celtics are better...I would rather be in Heat’s position now. They executed better late and win the games, which is why you actually play the games.

And secondly, I would rather advance and say the team I beat was better than me than be the better team and going home. Lol

I didn't realize Jaw Crowder was averaging 20ppg in the playoffs before this series. That was bound to come crashing back to earth.
I Like Celtics 7 best players vs Heat's best 7 players.
Gonna be a fun last 2 games.

I know you're trolling but I'll bite anyway.
It's great knowing that the Lakers 16 championships have fake championships from Minneapolis. The Los Angeles Lakers are a looong way from touching Boston's true 17.

Zach Zarba
Ken Mauer
Lauren Holtkamp
Joey Crawford
Dick Bavetta
Tim Donaghy

it's not good I know enough NBA refs to start a game of 5v5 pickup basketball

The only NHL ref I know by name is Kerry helmet-coiffed Fraser, who didn't call a penalty on Gretzky when he clipped and cut Gilmour with a high stick and was then on the ice on the next shift to score the goal that put the Kings ahead in the playoffs.

So your point stands - we know the names of refs for the wrong reasons.

I'd also add Kane Fitzgerald as another ref making a name for himself.

Boston the better and more talented team, but i can never be confident with them. They shouldve beat the Raps a lot easier; it coming down to a coin flip at the end was ridiculous. Same as this series; they lost the first 2 games and i think they were up 5 with less than 2 min in 1 of them.

For as talented as they are, they do a great job of making it hard on themselves. And Miami has experience, vets and is extremely well coached. All they need is 1 good shooting night out of 2

Heat, that team that is closer to be a homegrown team than the celtics...

All Celtics players except kemba, hayward and kanter are players who only have played on the celtics in the NBA.
Heat only have adebayo, herro, nunn, robinson, silva, okpala and haslem as players that only have played on the heat in the NBA.
