The funny thing is, unless you actively seek out the protests or live in like a three block radius you'd forget anything was happening in Portland if it weren't in the national news. Except when we were on fire for like two weeks. That was really, really bad.

that's a lot like new york. people from out of town think people are defecating in the streets after stabbing you thanks to the news. meanwhile there's like lines for outdoor brunches everywhere.
