Yeah, that was me and I'll stand by what I said . . . in that specific game. Watch the first 8 minutes of game 3 and show me where JaVale McGee was a problem. He was awful in his 2 minutes tonight. I never advocated playing him - I specifically said he should be glued to the bench. But people in here are lazy with analysis sometimes and just point to JaVale as an easy target when he wasn't the issue in that game. Rondo & Morris were culprits 1 & 2 yet people were going in on McGee who was only responsible for 1 bad defensive possession in that game by my count and did enough on offense to more than make up for it.

Bad fouls, paint clogging, no rebounding, cuts or offball movement for alley oops and worse yet letting Jokic go off EVERY time or letting Murray cook him on switches. All while having the luxury of being the only player on the roster spared from any scoring responsibility. You assess roleplayers on the little things and the ooportunity cost of having someone else out there

LeBron's been great on D this game too (though that last 3 was a late contest by him), but Grant's just lights out. Man's getting paid

Kuzma is just a waste of space on defense.
Don't believe the hype...

No rebounding? He had as many rebounds in 8 minutes as Howard and Morris combined had in 25 minutes.

No scoring responsibility? He scored 4 points in 8 minutes on 2-2 shooting, which is more volume on better efficiency than Howard or Morris.

He drew a foul on Millsap, he got a steal that started a fast break which lead to a dunk. Neither Jokic nor Murray were "going off" in his minutes. I'm telling you JaVale's minutes in that specific game were legitimately good.

Again, I'm NOT ADVOCATING for playing JaVale. But if you're assessing his minutes after the fact and just blindly saying JaVale = bad without looking at what's going on, it's lazy.

That 3 to break the tie was the dagger. LA’s 52-0 when leading going into the 4th

Kuzma is an absolute dud. He shouldn’t be getting any run. He’s been horrible all series.

Jerami Grant is a championship level role player. He's gonna be great for the Nuggets in the coming years. Wonder when his contract is up.

He'll be a free agent this summer. He has a $9M player option but he'll get more than that from someone.

EDIT: Should say this fall lol. Just used to saying "this summer"

Bron and Rich Paul need to make him an offer he can't refuse and convince him to take the Lakers' MLE lol

Gearing up for Finals mode.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"
