People were actually saying a team with Lebron and AD would miss the playoffs or only add 10 wins to last year's total lmao.

Those same people are now saying it’s “expected” that two top 5 players would win the title. Comedy.

Exactly this. There are two other threads about predicted winntotsls and every betting site has the Lakers between 46 and 52 wins, i.e., nothing special.
People expected thid because LeBron was supposedly washed. Now the the Lakers are winning, it’s “exited with a top 5 player like AD.” Always the same with the anti-LeBroners. Before the fact, doubt, during doubt, after the fact say, “Of course because his team is stacked.”

Feel free to bump in 9 months.
Lebron and AD who will miss 20 games each.
Kuzma, Danny Green.
Bunch of scrubs.
They also are now essentially capped next summer between those 4 guys, too and don't have any trade assets so this isn't getting any better next year unless they pivot.

The Pels had Jrue Holiday.
And Alvin Gentry, who can coach. Vogel and Kidd are set up to clash with LeCoach.

Thunder have MUCH more talent than the Lakers right now though. Do you anticipate some big trades from the Lakers?
Exactly! OKC has a team, Lakers have LBJ, AD and bunch of janitors.

The only reason I think they doubted Lebron was because of how bad he looked when he came back last year from injury. Sloppy, uninterested, and was arguably the worst defender in the league. .

LeBron was a plus defender last year.

If that Lebron was what the Lakers were getting this year then I can sort of get why people would doubt the Lakers.
But once again, Lebron has shown his body defies normal human logic and is performing incredibly for a person with as much mileage on his body.
