I like this draft after the top 7. I think it’s deep.
Terry could be a Herro type of shooter handler. Herro showed more playmaking in college.
I like the shooters in this draft a lot.

I want to see the Bulls pick up an extra 1st and maybe a higher extra 2nd rounder.
This draft has a lot of talent that will fall and needs development.

I would too but it sounds like the new front office is confident they can get a big free agent. I don’t think any moves are happening unless it’s maneuvering draft positions.

I don't think the FA portion will affect the plans of the draft. The Nuggets invested heavily in the draft in all arounds and the Bulls have started putting effort into building up the scouting and player development departments.

I absolutely love that the Bulls are building up their scouting and player development departments! I hope the Bulls get immediate results, but I don’t think it’s realistic to hire all these people and all of the sudden, they’re ready to operate at the highest level in 1 month.
I think this is a deeper draft than it’s getting credit for. Unless the Bulls get a BIG offer to move up, I hope AK takes the BPA. If he can turn Young, Sato, or OPJ into an additional pick - I’m interested.

I think AK will take some of the things he had scouted in Denver, Evs will take some of the things he had scouted in Philly, combine it together and use some of the new hires to have a solid draft.

AK has his hands tied behind his back. Really difficult to make roster changes when you haven't been allowed near the team.

I don't think his plan was ever to come in and make immediate roster changes before getting a look at the team next season. The questions he and Evs asked was why did the players regress not are these bad players.

Anyone know how Isaac Okoro compares to Jaylen Brown as prospects? Both have similar built and have almost identical stats as freshmen.

Well the noticeable comparison these 2 had is perimeter shooting weaknesses in college. Both were under 30% from 3PT and had terribly consistency. Think Okoro has more defensive upside and that's about it. The clear difference is Brown showed so much more offensively, tons of moves he had in college and his handles are far better. Okoro is very undeveloped offensively right now.
Said this and will say it again, if Okoro can come into predraft workouts and demonstrate that his offensive game has improved and can improve at the next level, he'll climb into the Top 5. If he hasn't shown any improvements in 6+ months, move onto another prospect that has shown improvement. That's a big IF so we need to see this before we even consider taking him at #4.

He had six plus months to work on his shooting, hopefully he made adjustments and improved. He’s an intriguing prospect, and could be a solid two-way player if everything falls into place, but that’s a big IF.

I wanna see Okoro’s measurements. I think he’s going to measure under 6’5” which is why he’s lower on my board.

Just trade the pick into pieces. Everyone says they need extra picks when draft night comes and I agree this draft has no extra value for going earlier. Boston has the best one with 4 picks. I dont mind using all 4 to replace Felicio, Arci, Dunn, Kornet.
Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!

No. We should have zero interest in trading down. Only getting additional picks after selecting at #4.

Wingspan is a difference. Okoro's wingspan is a weakness (at least a for a multi-positional defender), 6' 8" while Jaylen Brown's wingspan was a positive, slightly longer than 7'. Iguodala also has a long wingspan, 6' 11" or thereabouts.
Other than that, yeah maybe similar prospects. Especially because Brown wasn't supposed to going anywhere near top 3. The mocked #3 pick that year was Kris Dunn, and then Dragan Bender. Ainge obviously didn't like what he saw, and reached pretty far for Brown at #3. Brown on most mocks was #8 or that range, going after Jamal Murray.

If the draft talent stands as is, trading down would be better. I am however fully expecting one or more of these draft prospects to blow up during predraft workouts and that will change the draft order significantly.

AK already said getting #4 shortened their draft board, they're not looking to trade down. There is no reason for them to.
Every time people proclaim the draft is weak it ends up being just fine.

Yeah- he distinctly said he's going for a high-ceiling/talent pick. That would mean: Wiseman, LaMelo, Edwards (if one drops). Trading down seems to take you further from that.

Yes I heard him say this but that doesn't mean I agree with.
On my end I am pretty sold on some of these prospects going #10-#20 like Kira Lewis Jr. I do hope we find a way to get another pick if possible.

No extra picks unless the Bulls have a very unique, specific target. The one thing this team does not need is to try to grow more young guys all at the same time. You spoil all of them by focusing on none of them.
