The issue is we don't want to stash. Why do we want to stash when we are much better off with a 2nd round pick contract on our roster.

They might want the roster spot for a guy who can contribute now instead

Yeah those are my thoughts. I know Indeed is a fan of developing our young guys in the d-league because we've been successful at it but that roster spot can go to someone who can help now, depending on how the off-season goes.

For instance Bolmaro is probably not coming over so we can draft him and fill his spot with a bigger contributor and maybe bring him over when Giannis joins next season...

Major steal at 29...without a doubt

dont think he will be there.....he might end up being a top 12 pick. especially since he has improved his major weakness somewhat significantly

Does anyone see some Jaylen Brown in Jahmais Ramsey?

Ramsey may even be a better pure shooter, I think he could be a huge steal if developed under a team like the Raptors.

-He has both elite athleticism and tools.
-Had a good freshman season 43% 3PT on 5 attempts per game.
-Still 19 yrs old.
- A highly touted recruit who actually had a good yr and is kinda being slept on.
- Big potential and projectability.

He could be a huge steal looking back in a couple yrs.

I am very surprised to see him close to our pick in alot of recent mock drafts.

I see more Smart in Ramsey than Brown.

Adam Spinella released his mock daft from 15-60, his previous video went into detail of the 14 lottery picks

However, I don't think Bey has a handle nor 3 point shooting, which is the reason he is this low in the draft, I believe.

Tyler Bey is the kind of player I don't want us to draft. At best I see him as a better rebounding Patrick Patterson role player. I don't see any skill upside with him.

More like better rebounding Ariza is his ceiling.

Yes, twice, but things get lost. Option at #59 but likely better players will fall to #59.

I think Masai targets him in the first. He is tall and long and knows how to play with the ball in his hands. He can also shoot well.

I hope he's there at 29 or we're able to trade up. Looking over the draft, I think he, Terry and Lewis go higher than expected.

Since Sir-Swish-A-Lot went ghost, there hasn't been a single mention of CJ Elleby in this thread.
I'm convinced the two were related.

Is he on many mock drafts? I would gamble that Kalaitzakis is there at #59. If scared trade #59 and 2021 2nd pick to move up.

I would gamble on Karim Mane at #29 if the Raptors believe in his star potential. Don't lose out on the next Murray / SGA.

I would consider going for the home run and drafting Karim Mane at 29th. He could be developed with the affilate for the next year before slowing bringing him in. This draft doesn't have any great prospects and especially at the Raptors range. I would draft him and Winston.

Kalaitzakis is definetly not getting picked in the 1st round, He's basically a older bolmaro with less defense so you would just take him.

I don't have a problem with wherever Masai drafts Mane. He's worth the gamble no matter where you take him.

What am I missing with Mane? Doesn’t seem particularly high upside or interesting to me

I thought the same thing too, but I can see some of the attraction now. Elite size for a PG (6'5 7'0 wingspan), very good at getting to the rim, really quick and can get down hill. Shot isn't broken. Maybe hoping for a Jrue. I don't think I'd take him at 29, but I trust whatever Masai does.

I was also wondering where he went lol. If not related, part of his PR team. Gotta get his name out there. I honestly don't even think CJ is a terrible prospect. It was the way he dismissed other names so vehemently that irked me.

I just think we need to gamble on high rewards one at the end of the draft, since we are unlikely to get a high draft pick if we are competing.

Also as I said previously, we want a 2nd round rookie contract that saves us 800k as compare to the minimum contract. If we are stashing, we will need to sign someone with the minimum contract to fill out the roster spot, which would cost 800k more. May not be significant, but we if are competing and want to extra 800k to sign/re-sign someone who can create and two bigs, then it could be useful.

Another guy for 59

Lamar Stevens

6'8 strong athletic/forward, with some ball-skills and a midrange game and shooting woes beyond that
