From what? Heat have been using zone for years now and especially now with Spo's Mike DAntoni small ball. Jae Crowder is their backup center in this series

i was just curious when I look at who they play he is the only real negative defender out there and they want to keep him foul free because he is such an offensive weapon.

I guess it also does protect Bam as well. But the celtics were murdering that zone in the 2nd qtr and spo never switch up. Just was curious.

Spo has been using it for years and nowadays almost every team uses it. He did stick with it for a long stretch, usually they switch it up but I guess it was a long term strategy where he throws something different in the 2nd half
