I will provide my thoughts about this game & the season at a time TBD - after I recover from my profound disappointment.

Thanks to the great majority of you for sharing your constructive thoughts & passion for the Celtics.

And to a very much smaller pathologically negative group (in particular one person I have had the misfortune of sharing this great board with for the last 12 years) - you truly nauseate me.

I am going to watch Ratched on Netflix - very offbeat & well acted.

Lots of good teams in the East now. Heat, Celtics and Raptors obviously ended the season very close to each other. Bucks, Nets, and Pacers are each strong candidates to be excellent too. Philly a little less so but it's certainly possible.

Even during the playoffs I've been mentally having a boner with how much better this team can be with more talent.

It starts with a trade of Hayward to add someone that can be here for this Tatum/Smart/Brown core. (+ Kemba).

We don't need 3 firsts but we'll take them.

But yeah 3 first rounders and an expiring contract Hayward.

Get it done Ainge.

Get us Harris or Wiggins or Adams or someone we can start. We need to start by making sure we don't blow the Hayward asset and go from there.

After that pray we can find our own vet PG or C to help out this bench.

SO much potential if we can get Stevens and this team some help.

Brad needs to go! He was awful last playoffs, but he gets a pass because of Kyrie, now he doesn’t. That **** of a series against the Raps, was telling, now this series was a confirmation. He needs to go! We can’t win with him as a coach. No fire in him, he doesn’t inspire and motivate. His system is very predictable. Same chuckfest offense when guys panic!

Hats off to this team. They were dead and buried nationwide after Kyrie and Horford left, and disrespected even after that. They went further than people should have reasonably thought with such a young core and they fought to the end. A 12-point loss tonight was their worst since losing by 15 on January 26th vs the Pelicans -- a game that Tatum didn't even play.

That's a stretch of 45 games never losing by more than 11 points. They were in every game, and always battled.

Going down watching Marcus Smart shoot 22 times was tough to watch. In the Celtics two wins he averaged 9.5 shots a game. In their 4 losses he averaged 16.3.

Also I never wnat to hear again how Daile Theis is a good enough center. Pick up his option, its only 5 million, but if the Celtics get to the playoffs next year and Theis is still your starting center its a team building failure. It could be RWill taking a leap and grabbing that spot, but it can't be Theis. For most of the year he's good enough, but get late in the year and a lot of good teams have big and you can't scheme around it.

Meanwhile Hayward, wow. Missed first post season with injury. Spent second ne being awful because he was still coming back from injury. This one missed most of it, came back and wasn't right. Its not his fault obviously, and he deserves credit for sticking with the team, but he's making 34.6 million next year and it may be time to move on.

Third straight year with this not ready bull. Miami is going to the Finals with a bunch of rookies and second year players. Someone has to be accountable for these repeated failures in the playoffs.

Grats on an impressive season, especially with a bunch of guys that are still pretty young. I know it stings to be so close but at least you guys aren't destined for 7th-8th place like us and your best up and coming player isn't out for the year, things could be worse :lol:

You guys will be contenders in the East for years to come.

Congrats to the Heat. Bam is sick. Hope he takes it to AD in the finals.

2 and 2 with like 60% of Hayward.. 0-2 without. That's pretty much story of the series there. Our best and most consistent play maker was just not physically able to compete with tbe most physical team of the playoffs.
That injury prevented at the very least a game 7 here. Dude was clearly finished and couldn't even move out there tonight. I respect the hell out of the fight though.. To miss his boys birth and to come 3 or 4 weeks early from an injury that usually takes 8-12 weeks to recover to try and help. Awesome. Respect.

Extremely proud of all the guys. Jaylen and Jayson are absolutely phenomenal and it's time to give them a real shot at winning a chip.

Ball is on Danny's court now. Better bigs, some reliable shooters and less than 7 project rookies on the roster please.

It's been a pleasure talking ball with you guys. Let's gear up we got unfinished business next season.

We needed a bench and some vets. Heat played great, they seized the opportunity at the deadline and went for it. Danny still trying to straddle win now and win later. Works great for these ECF runs. He'll need to commit at some point to get any further.

Honestly what can he do? He's going to Max Tatum out, which is fine, then probably roll with the same team again.

The main problem with this team is that there top players simply don't produce in crunch time. If the game's close in the 4th it's a loss every time. I've never seen anything like this on any team

Gonna wake up tomorrow and still feel CBS isn't the coach to get us over the hump. I have felt iffy on him for 2 seasons now. If your stars aren't listening to you, time to move on!! We'll be here next season saying the same stuff. "Team just wasn't ready."

Brad simping to players like marcus **** morris and his **** way of playing basketball was the sign for me years ago, he just cannot lead men. Boys, maybe...but not grown men with big egos.

Talent alone can win you games, but there's so much more that goes into it, and talent alone will not win you an NBA finals or ECF.

I'm actually somewhat happy about the outcome. This Bam brutalizing pretty much guarantees Theis won't be our starting C next year. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to Europe. Just total humiliation.

Start Rob next year and trade Hayward to get an actual playmaker..
