If coaches really didn't matter, why was Blatt sent packing before the playoffs? Coaches aren't more important nor equally as important but they are very important!!

Hayward/Tatum/Smart went a combined 22-60 from the field

It was evident since last year. We knew Brad ain’t a leader. He almost lost the locker room last year. Guys are not listening to him at all, and doing their own thing. I wanted a coach with fire in him, and not some boring, emotionless, computer nerd! Our guys are young. They needed a sense of stability, that only a coach can give them. What kind of an offense was that? We are the laughing stock of the nba when we can’t figure out the zone since the raps series. CBS needs to go!

The main problem with this team is that there top players simply don't produce in crunch time. If the game's close in the 4th it's a loss every time. I've never seen anything like this on any team

I'd like some consolation move up trade if he has a target in mind, but also signing some actual veteran players and putting them into the rotation will just round out the team.

I mean we had Horford and Baynes leave and then we were left with Theis...why anyone is **** on Theis is beyond me, Bam is a STAR.

I've said it already but a knock down 3pt shooter like a T-Ross, an actual playmaking point guard in Rondo and an actual starting big (this is where I don't know who to target)

Loved to see JB's and JT's improvement this season and expect even greater things from them next year. They're our future and we're in good hands. It's now up to Ainge to give them some help. We've got a big decision to make on Hayward for a start.

A list of possibilities:

Assuming Hayward opts in use his contract to upgrade at center, or get a bench scorer, or both.
Nail a draft pick in the 14-30 range for the first time in a while (tho I like RWill and GWill)
Upgrade over Theis, he should be a backup center (maybe RWill just takes the role).
Use the mid-level on a guy who is actually potentially playable (Kanter was fine, he's not a playoff player).

None of his last few 'big' noves have worked out. Lets see.. Kyrie flipped, Kemba is just not good enough, Horford was useless the later the team went in the playoffs, his first round picks recently have been trash. Do you want me to go on? Or how about the lack of bench? The lack of midseason trades? The complete crap that is our coaching staff? The unnecessary Stevens extension??

Frustrating end to what I consider a successful season overall. From day one I thought our front court was shocking and wasn’t sure about Brown and Tatum. Brown and Tatum proved me wrong. Our shockingly weak front court caught up to us in this series and would have been a terrible sight against Davis and Howard in my opinion.


Before some of you lose your minds and want to fire Brad or Danny, or think Tatum and Brown are not good enough, take a step back. They’ve made two ECF in their early 20s. Yes it hurts to lose both but it happens. Sadly I think Ainge underestimated this team and didn’t give them a proper shot at winning. The bench was putrid with nowhere near enough shooters and the 5 position was a weakness. To be fair to him Corona changed the whole equation. I don’t think anyone gets near the Bucks if the season never stopped.

Tatum has grown into one of the best talents in the league. Yes he had a few disappointing moments in this series but he’s young and it’s his first year dealing with this sort of attention. If you aren’t impressed by the shotmaking and passing he now possesses then I don’t know what to say. Brown is a great second option to him.

Hayward was brutal but once again he ran into shocking luck.

We have the same team next season. Surely Ainge will better equip them to compete in the playoffs and we’ll see Tatum and Brown continue to mature together.

Things aren’t that bad. Yes it stings losing. I don’t think we had a shot at beating the Lakers anyway though so I have to look at it that way.

There's no doubt the Heat are the better TEAM.

The gap between Spo and Brad is a country mile, from Brad not being able to figure out a zone to end of clock execution. Spo maximizes his talent, Brad doesn't. The difference is shocking.

Speaking of shocking, let's talk about Theis v. Bam. Ouch. There's just no path forward with Theis.

Our inability or willingness to move without the basketball or cut is the most telling part about our coaching tbh. That and not knowing how to beat a zone for almost 2 series
