As you can tell from my poll options, I am completely unbiased so I won't comment any further, for fear of influencing your thoughts!

LA in 5 or 6, the Nuggets and Heat offense is similar and the Lakers put a wrench in that. Heat are better defensively, but the 2-3 zone only works against unskilled bigs, give Davis the looks that Theis had and it's a wrap.

This poll is so compelling I'm going to vote 300 times by registering 50 accounts and using my allotment of 6 votes each time

I suppose the Lakers will win so I'll root for the underdog

It probably comes down to foul trouble. Lakers are dirty and will use all of Dwight's fouls to antagonize Bam into foul trouble

Lakers.

If things worked based off of wishing we'd all be a lot less cranky than we've been the last 20+ years.

Dogs get put to sleep in the end.

The Lakers already got a taste of a Heat style offense in the Nuggets, if they can defend the Murray/Jokic action they're not gonna have much trouble with Bam passing from the top, especially since he's not a threat to shoot the three.

Anyone hoping for a Lakers loss is gonna be disappointed, outside of an injury I don't see the Heat winning.

Heat in Six. Lakers wont be prepared for a team that can execute on offense and play superior defense at the same time.

Lakers. Think Bron and Davis will be too much for Miami and I think Miami's super hot three point shooting will cool down.

26 pts
8 rebs
7 asts
3 blks
2 stls

One of the easiest ways to beat a 2-3 is by flashing the middle. He’s got the shooting touch and the athleticism to finish as the defense is trying to react to cover the open spot. When someone was on him, he found the guys on the baseline that open up when the C steps and up you back cut.

BOS should have done this with Tatum and I can’t believe a 2-3 gave them this much trouble. Tatum would have had room to operate and gotten them out of the zone. Welp.

Heat's offense is like a poor man's Nuggets offense.

Lakers. The Lakers have by far the two best players. LeBron is going to seek out Robinson, Herro, and Dragic. Heat can’t counter that with zone like they’ve been doing so I see Lakers taking this in 5 really but I hope it’s longer.

Besides, what are the chances LeBron loses to an east team? Lol

Ehh, heat will give you balanced scoring from just about every position. Herro and Duncan Robinson are automatic and Bam can bang with the best..then you have Butlers and Dragic..this aint no 2 man donut team. There no Paul Milsaps to abuse no Gary Harris to clunk shots. IMO they will be way tougher for the Lakers to defend while OTOH Miami's defense is light years ahead of the nuggets .

Remember when the Pistons ran through the more talented Lakers back in 2004? Miami reminds of them.

Jokic is a better offensive threat on & off ball than Bam was, with two non-shooters like Butler and Bam I don't see it. The Lakers have beaten some very good offensive teams already, what the Heat have is a balance of offense & defense. There are no offensive talents on the Heat coming close to Dame, Harden, Jokic or Murray though.

The Heat playing zone so much is just a pathway to AD winning finals MVP, you just cannot run the zone against someone like him. If they don't run the zone LeBron will put Robinson, Herro and Dragic through non-stop possessions where they force the switch. That is really the series right there, if the zone breaks in game 1 or 2 the series is over, they play it to hide their worst man to man defenders. If they can't play zone LeBron will get red carpet treatment to the rim, it'll be possession after possession where they target Herro/Dragic/Robinson forcing switches.

This is nothing like the 04 Pistons/Lakers series, nobody on the Lakers is hurt like Karl was, AD & LeBron don't hate each other like Kobe & Shaq did. This is like the Spurs / Nets series where 1 team is the clear favorite with the talent disparity, while the other will put up a fight before ultimately losing to the more talented players.
