Celtics will take one Myles Turner please. I actually think he's disappointed compared to how good he ought to be by now, but on the C's he'd be a perfect high-end role player and a great fit.

Might be more that goes into it than just that.

What about the size of the surrounding metro area (television market).
Climate.
Culture.
Reputation from people from others parts of the country.

None of those favor a place like Indiana... especially for young 20-something-year old millionaires looking to expand their brands.

This isn’t Knicks level of crazy. I could see at least 10 teams putting in offers. A buy low guy with possible big returns. Why not?

I agree with you, but somehow I think the Pacers will act like they are trading a perfectly healthy 27 year old all-star and want a ton.

Only way would be if there was a sign and trade with Fred Van Vleet for Dipo. I'd be down for that trade even with the health concerns for Dipo lol.

https://www.moving.com/tips/the-top-10-largest-us-cities-by-population/ This one says 17 so who knows.

But as far as NBA markets go, Indiana is not desirable. There is no chance for a team like them, they can do just about everything right and their stars will always want to leave for a bigger market/better destination.

Unpopular opinion but I’d be more excited for that team than the one PHI has at full strength currently.

Oladipo
Richardson
Harris
Simmons
Turner

I can’t see why IND would think Embiid and Sabonis would work, though.

yes. very unpopular opinion.

They can sign and trade FVV for a disgruntled player with one year left on his contract who wants out and is injury prone. Dipo's value has taken a hit recently and him being a rental does not help. You don't know what your getting with him so giving up a Middleton type player for him to me seems like a lateral move at best.

Vic is a nice player but he's only had one really great year. I would be very concerned about extending him if I were the team trading for him. If Pacers get a good deal, I think it would be smart to move him.

Players have to agree to sign and trades. Do we think FVV wants to go to Indy?

You mean the Brand that traded for, then maxed Harris? Signed Horford 25 m per to play alongside Embiid? MAde Butler feel unwelcome. Traded JIMMY BUTLER for Richardson? Trying to hire D'Antoni so Embiid can play 25 feet from the paint?

Yeah agreed. People still think of Dipo at his best but his best came and went and it's been a minute now. Hard to say how good he'll be going forward.

ehhh....you gotta look at metropolitan population to get a real idea of market size. When you factor in metropolitan population, Indianapolis drops to 33rd in the U.S. and 47th in North America.

If Indy is willing to pay him enough, I'm sure it will be a possibility. But ya, that requires more of Fred wanting to go there than the Raptors being able to do it.

I think if the money is right and Fred is promised a featured role in Indy he would be game. He owes so much to the Raptors franchise for believing in him when no one else did so if everyone wins I'm sure he would. Unless he is a big city guy but he is from Rockford Illinois.

I never said that. Great reading comprehension. I suggested FVV because he is not on that level. So if you get Dipo of the last 2 season and he walks your franchise is not set back years. Why would I say don't give up an All-Star for Dipo then propose trading a All-Star for Dipo?
