I don't love his motor. I think he plays small. He isn't a great rebounder and disappears in games. He blocks shots but isn't an intimidating presence like Gobert.

Fair. I still think it's a pretty good skillset for a 6'11, 250 pound 24 year old.

Put him into our development system next to Siakam and OG.

Getting Turner most likely takes us out of the Giannis sweepstakes

Dipo to Boston makes zero sense. He's a combo guard who can occasionally play the 3. Boston has those 3 positions totally covered.

Kemba-Smart-Brown

Boston should be focused on their frontcourt nothing else.

Hayward for Horford makes a ton of sense for both the Celtics and Sixers.

Yep! A bad contract for a bad contract.

I don't understand the Hayward-Dipo discussion. Hayward is a liability at $34 mil, whereas Dipo is an asset @ $21 mil. They are both big injury risks.

That said, I'd love to trade for Dipo and/or Turner as long as it doesn't cost us OG/Pascal.

Hayward has negative value, why would Indiana consider a Dipo package for him?

I'd be shocked if Oladipo bounces back to the player he was.

Not that interested.

Acquiring Dipo would put us out the Giannis race right?

Hey we have Alex McKechnie who did wonders with Kawhi, if we can get dipo for cheap, I'd say try it out as a rental and let Alex McKechnie do his magic.

Pacers should look to rebuild. Trade Oladipo and Turner for some assets.

Would we want a fred for Dipo sign and trade? Or would you guys prefer to keep fred?

I would take the risk and make that trade.

Nah if he takes Fred's money, we should be able to keep him on the team. "Sign Giannis" and then re-sign Dipo to a bigger contract if hes earned it.

It assumes we let Lowrys contract run out to sign Giannis, I'd we are trading Lowry for dipo/turner we then can't sign fvv or ibaka or Gasol unless they are 1 year deals I believe

Fits the Raptors exact needs I would go after him hard using Powell and this years pick. The Pacers might consider using FVV as their 2 because Brogdon is big as well. That would be optimal for the Raptors.

Re-sign Ibaka

Draft Tillman and Mane

Sign Gallinari using the MLE on a 3 year deal

Ibaka/Tillman/Gasol(10M/1year)
Siakam/OG
Gallinari/OG
Dipo/Powell
Lowry/Davis

That playoff rotation would have got it done for Toronto this year to get to the finals. Dipo is the exact kind of scorer you need in the halfcourt. The chances of going far with the group above is higher than waiting on Giannis who will most likely consider Miami and other destinations.

I'm also a big believer in Gallinari he's forced 2 winning seasons along with CP3 in OKC and on his own last year in LA. He's a big forward that can shoot extremely well, he's an under the radar candidate I hope Masai goes for. Just adding Gallinari would have been enough to put us over the top this year.

Right. Because Hayward has looked amazing coming back from his injury(s)?

I think you're overrating post-injury Oladipo a tad.

Hawyard just averaged 17 pts, 6 reb, 4 ast on 50/38/85 this season, compared to Oladipo's 14/4/3 on 39/31/81. While it's entirely possible for him to get closer to his pre-injury form, he's far less of a sure thing than Hayward at the moment.

Gallo is not taking the MLE. He is going to get paid this off season.

And when you break it down, he's really had 1 (ONE) season that's been impressive. The season after getting traded from OKC and made the jump to All NBA. None of his other seasons have remotely touched that season. Combine that with his significant injury, he has red flags. His reputation around the league is higher than what it really should be. People talk about him as if he's a bonafide all star, but his career is anything but that. If he can regain 17-18 form, then it's a no brainer. That guy is a player any team would want, but that player hasn't been seen for years. It's high risk high reward.

Oladipo is a free agent after next season, so the Raps would still have the flexibility to add Giannis.

Raps could rent Oladipo for a year and then he could be a backup plan if Giannis doesnt sign here.
