I could maybe talk myself into it. Giannis/Lopez/Love is a pretty damn good way to fill the 4/5 positions. Spacing, outlet touchdown passes to Giannis.

Love is definitely a better shooter than BroLo, and for all his faults, an absence of playoff experience is not one of them.

Lot of risk with his health but if there wasn't he wouldn't be available so cheap.

Horst did well in his last trade with Cleveland for what that's worth too.

The nice thing about being able to cruise control to a 55-60 win season as long as Giannis is healthy, you could load manage the crap out of Love or Paul

I think this is a move that makes a lot of sense...basically super Marvin Williams. I have been reluctant to play Giannis at the 5, but seems to me he is more than physically capable to handle the load most nights. Keep a Lopez around for the nights you are playing against traditional bigs.

Weirdly, I could see a scenario where you add Love and Chris Paul and don't really pay all that much. Not that I am advocating for Paul just something I could see happening;

Paul
Wes
Middleton
Love
Giannis

This squad it too old and too slow ... omg every time someone drops at the basketball court we will get anxiety if he gets up... I wouldn't settle with Wes as our starter SG , it should be easy to upgrade and I would even start a Rookie like Tyler Terry to check his shooting temperature

(Edit: I guess we trade Indy pick for CP3 so forget the Tyler Terry part)

One thing I think that version of this team has, it can operate in the playoffs and do what we haven't been able to do the last two playoff series we have lost. Which is essentially, not having four guys sit around and watch Giannis go against four guys.

Like I said, if Giannis is healthy we will be a 55-60 win team regular season. Oh and I hate Chris Paul, this was more just for discussion on what I think could happen.

As for Love, I think he is maybe the cheapest 3rd star you could acquire and if you view Giannis at the 5, it looks like a really good pairing.

Would Cavs move Love for expirings? If so;
LAL in Bledsoe
LAL out Green

CLE in Wilson, Green, Ersan, Robin Lopez
CLE out Love

MKE in Love
MKE out Bledsoe, Wilson, Ersan, Robin

Am I undervaluing Love?

Depends how much the Cavs want out from under that contract. If that's their motivation I could see them do something like this especially since green could probably fetch them a minor asset if they reroute him someplace.

I would probably do Bledsoe to the Lakers for Caruso and Danny Green. Maybe reroute Green somewhere with the pick if there’s a good option.

Because it's never to early to be a pessimistic Bucks fan I am fully expecting and preparing for our big off season to be the following:

Bledsoe (routed elsewhere) & Pacers pick for Schroeder

Millsap, who I like, will be overpaid either full Non tax MLE or close to it.

Korver returns on a min. Demarre Carroll joins on a min.

I know he stinks but let's get Malik Monk. That Kentucky flamethrower is still in there somewhere.

Id like to see something like this.

First go after jeremy grant.

Then use picks and players to go after upgrades the guards. Could you do Bledsoe and ersan and a pick for Hield?

How abotu Lopez, Hill and Wilson and the first for Jrue?

Giannis
Middelton
Grant
Hield
Jrue Holiday

Bench is robin lopez, DDV, wes, and some ring chaser?

that would require Giannis at Center a lot more but Lopez could play the real physical centers.

How do you propose "going after" Jerami Grant?

I would absolutely love to have him here, but realistically, he either opts in for a year/signs a bigger extension with Denver, or he signs a big extension elsewhere. He's not opting out of the last year of his Denver deal just to sign for the same money with us.

If the Heat beat the Lakers & the Kings commit to Bogdan:

Bucks: Buddy Hield, Alex Caruso
Lakers: Eric Bledsoe
Kings: #24, Danny Green, Ersan, Wilson

Sign Dario Saric or JyMychael Green

Caruso/Hill
Hield/DiVincenzo
Middleton/Matthews
Giannis/Saric or Green
Lopez/Saric or Green

Grant, who is expected to opt out of his player option, according to a league source,

All that means to me is that the amount of money we can offer him isn't enough.

Edit: Yeah, that article is saying he's expecting $14-16 million per year. All we can offer is the same amount he's expected to turn down from Denver.

Right, so then how do we sign him? He's going to get almost double what we can offer.

My dream to pair Jerami Grant with Giannis since 2016 or something is long gone now. It can't happen... Sixers waived him ... OKC's GM picked him up ...credits to that guy whoever he is.

I still remember Grant's battles vs Giannis when he was a Sixer. He was one of the few players that had the length, the speed and grit to stop Giannis... Giannis posterised him with his spin dunk move, but I remember Grant blocking him too and make Giannis job really hard. I loved his fighting on court spirit and saw his potential early.

Going after Caruso just gives me Delly PTSD, but Buddy would be cool.

Am I far too swayed by the last game I’ve seen him play? Yes I am. I do think he could form a damn effective defensive triumvirate with Donte and Hill at PG.

No they didn't.

They traded him to OKC for our boy Ersan and a 1st round pick (the #21 pick in this year's draft as it turns out).
