I still remember Grant's battles vs Giannis when he was a Sixer. He was one of the few players that had the length, the speed and grit to stop Giannis... Giannis posterised him with his spin dunk move, but I remember Grant blocking him too and make Giannis job really hard. I loved his fighting on court spirit and saw his potential early.

If this is the benchmark then why not Noah Vonleh from Denver instead of Grant. Much cheaper and I think he has a lot of potential. Not really sure why he hasn't panned out but he was really impressive for the Knicks a couple of years ago. I thought he could really defend, showed some promise shooting and playmaking as a big.

If the Heat beat the Lakers & the Kings commit to Bogdan:

Bucks: Buddy Hield, Alex Caruso
Lakers: Eric Bledsoe
Kings: #24, Danny Green, Ersan, Wilson

Sign Dario Saric or JyMychael Green

Caruso/Hill
Hield/DiVincenzo
Middleton/Matthews
Giannis/Saric or Green
Lopez/Saric or Green

Going after Caruso just gives me Delly PTSD, but Buddy would be cool.

Caruso is at least athletic and actually good defensively, I think you can count on one hand the number of finishes at the rim Delly’s had the last 3 years lol

No they didn't.

They traded him to OKC for our boy Ersan and a 1st round pick (the #21 pick in this year's draft as it turns out).

Yes thanks for the info... thats true . It was a sign n trade cause I remember him expiring and the Sixers not really interested in him... I think they had high hopes for Noel & Okafor at that time.

So if Donovan is the one to get the credit ... Maybe Bulls will offer him Max Money.

I voted for Donovan on the Bud replacement when he became available .

Bud probably brings Schroeder and Millsap to complete his concrete Bucks vision and I will probably tune in to watch the Bucks at 2021 Playoffs

Struggling to find the sweet spot for value, but would like to swoop in on IND/BOS negotiations and pry Turner or Dipo for ourselves.

MKE: Myles Turner, Doug McDermott, #14
IND: Gordon Hayward, Marcus Smart, #24
BOS: Victor Oladipo, Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez

or

MKE: Victor Oladipo
IND: Gordon Hayward, Eric Bledsoe, Romeo Langford, #14, #24
BOS: Myles Turner, Jeremy Lamb, DJ Wilson

I could maybe talk myself into it. Giannis/Lopez/Love is a pretty damn good way to fill the 4/5 positions. Spacing, outlet touchdown passes to Giannis.

Bucks: Kevin Love
Knicks: Bledsoe, Wilson
Cavs: Bobby Portis, French Frank, Ersan

Cleveland might even throw in some picks to help grease the skids.
If you want to get crazy, you could go get both Love and Chris Paul. Neither will cost much to acquire. You could run with CP, Dante, Khris, Love and Giannis. It could go up in flames big time but the ceiling is there. Get some athletic shooters and a couple defenders on the bench and it could be interesting.

We're just stealing value in the trades above. Why would Boston want Brook over Turner? Why would they want Lamb/DJ over Oladipo? It's not like they don't have the assets to make up for the value.

You planning on getting crazy by sending Middleton out as part of this? Because:

Bledsoe
Brook
Hill
Ilyasova
Robin
Wilson

All of those guys combined still don't get you to the incoming $72.6M of CP3/Love. You would have to either add Donte and do a classic 7 for 2 trade, or include Middleton, which defeats the purpose.

Think BOS would try to trade Kemba if they got Bled and Dipo. Would open up a lot of possibilities.

Just trying to find bones for a way to sneak in there, but yeah I know, the value isn't matching up.

I don't think the Celtics would let us in even if the value was matching. The only way they'd let us participate in a trade would be if we were absolutely needed. And vice versa.

Also imo Turner is valued higher around the league than his actual value. He's not that good of a basketball player. Let some other team overpay for him.

Turner is a similar player to BroLo but better, and 24 years old. How is that not good?
still learning the game

We shouldn't facilitate any Oladipo to Boston trades, he should be a Target to pick up.

Turner is quicker than Lopez, but not quick enough to switch onto perimeter players so he's a target in PnRs. He's a poor rebounder, does protect the rim at a good but not elite level and can't punish opposing teams going small. That screams role player to me. And since it was widely reported that New Orleans was offering #4 for Turner and Indiana turned them down I'm very opposed to invest serious value into such a player.

Phoenix is trying to win and were very happy with what Ricky gave them this season. His name got thrown around here when a report had phoenix linked to Van Vleet but I think I've seen phoenix 'linked' to like every single vet FA this year and it's probably just agents throwing it out there because they are one of the few teams that can create more the the MLE in space and are trying to win. I especially believe that because since James Jones took over as GM nothing really gets leaked. A stark contrast from their old gm Ryan McDonough who was friends with woj from his Boston days.

The phoenix player most likely to be traded is Oubre if they look to cash in on him now vs paying him next summer.

Baynes is another who I would love to see on the Bucks. He seemed to like it in phoenix but I could see him ring chase at his age.

Too much? I don't think NY wants Bledsoe at all, but it gets mentioned enough that I have to try it at least once.

Also, looking at Charlotte's roster, wouldn't mind giving Dwayne Bacon a G-league look.
