His suspension was 'indefinite' not the 25 game PED variety. I was just doing a little googling and it seems the coke thing was rumored but not confirmed.

Hope he's cleaned up what ever it was and he was starting to show some signs on the court before that happened.

Yeah it definitely wasn't PEDs.

False memory on my part then.

Just throwing this out there because Spotrac for example has it wrong...Eric Gordon will be 32 before next season begins, is owed $76 million, and is coming off a year in which he shot 37% from the field while contributing nothing else to the team. Houston should be giving us multiple first round picks to swap him for Brook.

There's no real trade rumblings for any team right now lol. The only concrete rumors we've heard so far is that Sacramento might trade one of their guards, Philly might trade some of their guys if they hire D'Antoni, OKC will probably try to trade some of their players, and Milwaukee will probably try to trade Bledsoe. Everything else has just been wishful thinking like the Celtics homer hoping that they could trade for Oladipo.

Yeah, I initially thought he might be an intriguing expiring to take on but they signed him to a 4 year extension this year. Not sure why it was never updated on Spotrac.

What if we trade a platter of serviceable bigs for Gordon?

https://tradenba.com/trades/FLAhwHA0Y

Hou gets DJ, Ersan, and Rolo (he obviously needs to opt in)
MKE gets Gordon

Houston finally has a true C in Rolo and 2 other bigs who can hit 3s with DJ and Ersan while we get a guy who can create some and is capable of going off for 30 on any given night. No one gives up too much and it solves some issues for both sides.

Gordon is washed up and on a terrible contract. He was absolutely terrible last season and looked like a shell of his former self.

IMO that Eric Gordon contract is low-key one of the bigger financial disasters in the league right now. Imagine how sick we'd be to have a guard who shot that many 3s and barely made them at a higher rate than Giannis. And that's his calling card.

If you want to take a flyer on a guy, Justise Winslow might be your best bet. 1 year 13 million with a team option.

Poor offensive player who has shown some flashes, but a pretty solid defender who can guard multiple positions.

I have no clue if he’s in the Grizzlies plans or not. Tough to say since he was injured and didn’t play a game for them. Just a name to watch I suppose.

Eh he can do a lot more than that. He was one of the few players in Houston capable of creating shots.
I'm not saying the contract isn't bad, but he's shooting 3's on an insane volume while being pushed to the SF/PF spot. The first year is pretty fair, everything after that is getting more and more gross with each year.

Grizzlies were holding out for a first for expiring Iggy and settled for Justice. I'm sure they like him.

Losing the way we did really hurts the team's market value regarding trades. I can't see us trading anyone other than Giannis (and maybe Middleton) and getting a good return on the dollar. Other GM's are likely thinking along the same lines as Dragic............wall off Giannis and no one else can make a shot to save their lives.

Austin Rivers is the Houston guard that should be targeted for cheap if possible. I think he opts out and tests free agency.

If he's still capable he should absolutely start doing it again. Right now the only reason he's got above avg usage is because of all the catch and shoot 3s he's missing.

I definitely think he's more versatile than Houston allows him to show, but that's a lot of money to be on the hook for a declining player that hasn't really shown more than flashes of an all-around game the last few years.

Oh I want nothing to do with the contract. Just saying that as someone who watched a lot of Houston games that Gordon is really quite good. Not his fault Houston decided to fund his pension.

Edit: Same goes for Tucker. Would love to have him as a player. Would hate to pay him till 38.

Could devonte graham be a realistic option? Jordan might. They have a lot of money tied up in Terry.
