I’m not gonna argue whether u like his game or if it’s an improvement but I still think beal is gonna be on the market next trade deadline and I think Danny is absolutely going to go after him.

Only difference is I doubt Miami wants him anymore. Especially after his showing in the bubble too.
I don’t think they are falling backwards over him but I think they have salary balance to get him without really losing a core pieces and more so even if they don’t trade for him and he’s traded elsewhere and he plays at a high level again- he’s a free agent, they’ll have money and he’s a flight risk for the team trading for him.
If giannis isn’t available- he could be a plan c fall back option
Yah, getting Oladipo at the expense of Olynyk, Nunn [and picks [absorbed into some cap space] seems like good business to me. No idea why Riley would turn that down.

If DLO didn’t get to Minnesota KAT would have been a available this summer. The reality is if any superstar becomes available (which is unlikely to me) brown/smart/picks starter will have us in the conversation..
maybe not the front runner like old days but in the convo and perhaps coming to the table without all our chips will help when negotiating

I know some don’t love Beal, but he is a fantastic fit next to Tatum. And everyone knows how close they are.

Hayward for Turner makes too much sense.
It’s a win win for both teams and players.
It’s beyond obvious. Get it done Ainge.

I’m with you...I know the defensive stats. Imo that’s because he’s on a horrible team and saved his effort for offense - I believe on a winning team he’ll be fully engaged and serviceable/ to good. We’ve seen horrible defenders come here and our defense be tops in the league.
Problem I have I’m not sure if that’s truly a “get you over the top move” wish there was a way to add him to tatum brown and kemba but that’s just not possible, tho imo beal is an upgrade to this team and it would make Tatum happy so that’s a plus also

I just don’t get the trade for Hayward from the pacers perspective.....,I get he’s from there and I get they may lose dipo and Hayward if healthy could replicate his scoring and help playmaking but to lose turner for an oft injured player - I think they’ll be able to do better.
Someone pitch me the sell to them

Same.
Doesn't make much sense to me either for IND.

There's no way to do it and not have it be a PR nightmare, but man I wish we could shop Kemba.
I think what we saw in the playoffs is basically what we're going to get from him moving forward in those types of games and that's at max money and an ailing knee.

Excellent secondary playmaker too. Beal/BRown/Tatum is a foolishly dangerous wing trio

Re: Trade Ideas Thread
Among centers who played more than 20 mins per game, Turner is not top 10 in points allowed in paint or def rating. Theis is top 5 in both of those things.
Turner's opponents shot 44.3% from the field. Theis's opponents shot 43.8% from the field.
Turner's opponents committed 14.4 TOs per 100, Theis's opponents committed 15.1 TOs per 100.
Both Turner and Theis are pretty mediocre in allowing 2nd chance points. Turner's opponents grabbed 10 ORBs per 100, Theis's opponents grabbed 9.8 ORBs per 100.
Results have not shown than Turner is a better defender than Theis, let alone worth $18 mil per and assets in a trade.
If Turner is free and at MLE sure take a shot, we need someone to play against really big guys and when Theis inevitably gets his 5 fouls, but no and hell no at sending out assets for him.
Rather get Baynes back.

Agreed. I'm all good on Turner considering his contract and what it would take to add him.

I think the argument is that if Daniel theis looked good here in Boston how would the bigger, more athletic , still young Myles Turner fit in a new system?

Re: Trade Ideas Thread
Is Myles Turner more athletic though? He always reminds me of later-career Sam Perkins, which isn’t particularly a compliment. Advanced stats don’t love him and next to Sabonis he’s a 12/7/2 guy. I can see the fit but I also remember that the finally-healthy Hayward was playing like a max contract guy earlier this season (before he ***broke his hand on a pick*** omg this guy I’m not saying we need to keep him).
Paul Pierce appreciation society.

They ain’t getting a kings return for dipo tho......rental w massive injury concerns
I wasnt certain about how highly they value Dipo.
I mean, in a perfect health world I think Dipo could be a very good fit there. The key being his health
He’s if he’s healthy it’s a different return.....but you got the 1 year rental potential that always kills returns and then massive injury questions with him. They won’t get anywhere near what they expect to imo.
Agreed. My point is IND is still gonna view it different. They know offers will be low, but they don't have to take those. They'll want to get near a healthy/rental Dipo return. And at some point it's just not worth it for them to move him. They'd be better off hoping he returns to health and happiness.

It makes sense to replace Oladipo [who they sold as an Indiana guy when acquiring him] with Hayward [another guy they can sell that way] if Oladipo wants out, assuming they could land him for cheap.
I dont get the Turner element of it from their perspective.

People dont forget what happened to IT. Coupled with his contract, i think he’ll be very cheap.

Watch out for GS. Could absolutely see him and Warren moved there
