What a great talk that was. Stacey is awesome. Love that guy. I laughed and cried listening to that.

I know Neil Funk has gotten his share of criticism on this board. Personally, I have always loved Neil and I will miss him doing the Bulls. When Stacey talked about Neil being like Harry and some of the Chicago sports broadcasting legends in that people got so familiar with them. Listen. Neil Funk is a HOFer. Truly a Chicago broadcasting legend. Hearing Stacey get all choked up talking about looking next to him and and how strange it will be for him to not have Neil there. For me, it is home. Comfort. Background track to so much of my own life. I'm gonna miss Funk. It was truly moving hearing the love that Stacey has for him and the love he has for Bulls fans.

Yeah it was such a cool experience to talk with and interview him. He really gave us some love too which is humbling.

Crazy to think someone of his level actually has seen our stuff and thinks we're good.

And agree with you about Funk. We joke about him, but he's an all-time great at what he does. I love Adam Amin, but I'll miss Funk too like I missed Johnny Red Kerr when he retired.

I know this is a month old ep, but started listening while out for a walk, Blecks view on Zach being nothing more than a Lou Williams type, IMO, is totally crazy. He is a superstar. Its not Zachs fault we can't stay healthy, its not his fault we had a trash coach.

I think one of the biggest basketball-related tragedies of the shutdown is that Neil's farewell tour got cut short. I'm gonna miss all the slightly too mean things he'd say about people on the other team...like remarking on kwame brown's tiny hands. or my personal favorite, "a wild shot...it careens off the rim"

Neither here nor there really, but I was talking with him after our show about some ways he might consider trying to further advance his brand. I think he could be a superstar in this area, and there is a lack of draft content since DX went down there has been no one to step up and fill that void.
