Honestly, who cares? 60 game season? I know it's "official" but really, come on.

Just throw an asterisk on it and move on

How are you guys set for next season? Are you’re key players all under contract?

I think you may have to do some work on that pitching staff.

Yeah baby what a start. We hit the two pitches that look good so far.

Gotta say, I think DeGrom is probably a better pitcher than Cole. No one ever seems to score off him in the postseason. Consistent year in and year out.

What? Degrom pitched in the playoffs only 4 times back 2015. Their playoffs resume is not even comparable.

Hicks being waved home from first on a double is what I like to see.

Stanton is horrible. At least A-Rod was good in the regular season.

I like Cole after he gives up a run. He gets mad.

Could never lay off breaking balls away or breaking pitches in general. Pissed me off. Sanchez approaches his at bats the same way.

Sigh I'm watching a dumpster fire of a Presidential debate instead of this wonderful game. What the hell is wrong with me?

This felt like LeBron (Cole) vs Giannis (Bieber) all over again. Shane was the absolute talk of the town going into this with his Triple Crown. They must have forgot about Cole.

What a performance tonight. I was iffy about even caring about the Yankees in the playoffs this year as I think this is the ultimate asterisk year IMO but they just sucked me right in.. Lets go get 28

Awesome game, great fundamental baseball working the count and getting productive outs shortening swings on 0-2 counts. Cole was dominant 0 walks btw the hrs with a lead especially you take over the walks.

Now what I gotta see is can we continue this while Cle makes adjustments. Over the years I have seen the Yankees kick ass in game 1 of the playoffs then be flat the rest of the series like in 06 against Detroit. Of course we have seen that happen a lot this year. So don’t come into game 2 with a level of comfort gotta want it just as bad as Cleveland wants it in game 2.

The Houston Astros might still be the team to beat in the AL.

Man we spanked those boys and Justin Beiber , i think we got Bieber fever lol. Cole coming through with a dominating performance, this is why we paid him the big bucks for. Now Tanaka needs to do his usual post season performance and we should advance. Lets get to the next round boys ! Hope the Blue Jays can beat the Rays, really don't want to see them at all.
