Love to see this. He's not wrong. He made a few passes in the first game of the season that made my jaw drop. He's the most creative passer we've had at the center position since Bogut. Not many guys in the league have the moxie or skill to do one-hand dribble hand offs where you dump the ball between your legs off of a live dribble. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Chriss averaged around 5 assists a game per 36 next year. The question is whether or not he'll start.

But I do hope his defense improves as well. He had moments that were impressive. He has really good body control and doesn't make a lot of clumsy mistakes, but he does make the occasional dumb mistake where he gets his read wrong. If he cleans that up a bit and bulks up some for the big boys, we're in business.

If Chriss became 75% of what Bam has become, that could be HUGE for the Warriors. I love this kids drive, after such a patchy start to his career that seriously could have been terminal mentally for him. The footage of him playing for a puke Cleveland team and getting thrown around like a rag doll by Ibaka still stands out. He has the pyhsical tools, which would have made the game easy for him all the way to the NBA, but when he arrived, the maturaty and mental aspects of the game all of a sudden were needed, which he really did not have. With these sorts of nuggets coming from training camp, it looks like he is maturing after his humbling start to his NBA life.

He should look at Bam and Myles Turner as the 2 players to strive to be. Jokic is an outlier, but Turner and Bam are the 2 I think he should try to emulate.

Sounds like Curry is spending camp time gearing up for a golf match on Thanksgiving weekend.

Too bad they couldn't get Jordan and Tiger. Hopefully Steph won't have to play with Dorky Phil.

Just saw a story that Jonathon Simmons, former Spur, is taking part in this mini camp.

Played in Orlando a couple of seasons and a few games with Philly this season.

He’s 31 now so may not be as explosive as he used to be.

I think Smiley is a long term project stretch 5 that the franchise would like to see play next to Draymond. Shooting bigs are still pretty rare and I think Smileys unique skill set is something the team wanted to develop on the cheap.

Wiggins will be fine playing minutes at the 4, he's long and athletic and his biggest development I think is just filling out weight wise. Just filling out makes everything in the paint easier. Wiggins would be a really tough cover at the 4, even defensive oriented guys like Morris and Millsap I think would struggle running with him. His dribble gets him to spots that Barnes never could.

Between that and Steph supposedly being in the best shape of his life, it made my morning.

Asked Steve Kerr if Klay Thompson's had a vintage moment in practice: "Yesterday he had several. Pulling up and splashing a 30-footer in transition. He's looking really bouncy. Had a dunk off one foot yesterday and came right back down in transition and had a dunk off two feet."

I wonder if they are working on ways to get Klay/Wiggins offensive rebounding numbers up.

Kerr's big takeaway from today's scrimmage: Kevon Looney looks healthy, which should really help the Warriors' center rotation.

Jonathon Simmons is leaving minicamp to tend to a family issue. However, it feels like he's made a strong case to at least receive a training-camp invite.

Steve Kerr: "Jonathon Simmons has had a really good camp, and he still has years to offer, in my opinion.

More from Steve Kerr on Jonathon Simmons: "We could use the length on the wings. ... I think he's shown he's got the length and athleticism to be a factor defensively. ... I'm a fan."

Final from Chase Center: Blue 52, White 40. Ryan Taylor (18) and Jeremy Pargo (14) were the leading scorers. Marquese Chriss with a scrimmage-high 7 rebounds.

Andrew Wiggins is leaving this weekend. Kerr said that today's scrimmage kind of felt like the culmination of minicamp, but the Warriors will stay until Oct. 6 to give players the opportunity to work out and scrimmage together.

Steve Kerr says there will not be any more formal scrimmages, but they will have an open gym. 5-on-5 pickup style. Klay Thompson is doubtful to participate, but it remains a possibility

Simmons making the roster would push out Tuscano-Anderson I think.

No one is signing jta or Simmons so it doesn’t matter. They’re 15th man fodder

What if Mulder said, “Klay looks a step slow and he has a small tick in the release on his jump shot.”

I’m pretty sure there’s still a few honest Americans left..Maybe Mulder is one of them?
