My real only complaint is how we started the game. Hopefully we can come out with more energy on Friday. Blowing leads is annoying but you knew it was going to happen.

To be honest, based on how they've played all year, I'm more nervous when they come out strong and take an early lead. Tend to lose intensity with big leads, like today in the 4th.

Less than 40% from 3. They can be pretty close to that.

They cooled off in the 4th but the first 2-3 quarters were pretty ridiculous. I think they were like 11-17 at one point or something like that.

Yeah, the two best NBA teams are the two still standing. I’m not ignorant to how good they are.

With Butler as their best player, they’re likely not winning a 7 game series against Lakers, Denver, or Clippers.

I felt like the Heat came out with fire, knowing that their best shot at making this a series was to hit us in the mouth and steal game 1... When that fell apart, I think they sort of realized it's going to be tough for them to win this.

Like I said from the previous game threads, we're the most battle tested team. We beat a surging hot Portland team, beat our kryptonite 3 point shooting Rockets team, and we beat the comeback kids Nuggets. Miami's only real test was the Bucks.

With that being said, I'm not underestimating Miami at all. I still think they can give us a series, but I know we've been down every avenue of adversity in the playoffs and that experience is priceless during the Finals.

Once Miami got that early lead, it was clamps on Lakers defense. I'm so incredibly proud of this team unlike any before to be honest, this is preparation meets talent in every way possible.

That Zone punished the Celtics, and i thought, no way they pull that crap against us. But they did. What the Zone should do is open up the rebounding edge for us.

Denver has a little of the inexperienced puppy in them that makes them keep coming at you and believing they can win no matter how bad the odds are... Miami is more vet than that... They're obvously going to keep fighting, but losses like this aren't going to be as easy to brush off as they were for Denver... Also, clearly youth has other advantages, because Miami is feeling this playoff run a lot more than Denver did...
This is still a dog fight, but we took something out of them tonight....

This was a great win. We really clamed down on D. All season long, when we have ramped it up on D, we've been unstoppable.
I hope we come out with that same toughness and physical intensity in game 2.
We're up 1-0 and that's awesome. But it means very little if we lose the next game.

The consistent ability to find defensive solutions really shines. The game is so much more strategic now, more than perhaps even just 10 years ago. As such, the way they neutralize matchup issues and take away strengths is better than just about any Lakers team that I can remember, and I’ve been watching for a very long time. AD is obviously phenomenal, but its not like we’re siccing a Coop or Artest on anybody to lock them up. It’s very much a team effort. So I really give Vogel a lot of credit. That was one of the things that stood out with those Pacers teams that gave the Heat hell and he’s brought that same attitude and structure here.
