If this is how picks 1 to 14 really pan out (not that that is very likely) Orlando is looking at a pretty ideal board for having to pick at 15.

The rumours of a tradeup to #2 make some sense if they believe there's a difference maker up there, but if not at 15 they now have a slew of guards and combo guards to choose from.

Orl needs shot creation badly, which is what happens when Fournier is your best initiator. But we also need PG depth and maybe a lead PG if the Fultz experiment doesn't work out. Ideally someone who could play with Fultz like Augustin did successfully at times.

My money is on Terry. I buy the improvement in his handle and more physical development. The vision, playmaking and shooting are there to be built on.

Anthony also interesting. Like his attitude, the skill foundation is there. Maxey fits and his touch in the paint is masterful but the wild jumper scares a bit.

Poku... Dunno. I think it's a pick for a team with no obvs glaring starter holes. Intriguing kid tho.

Woodard, Riller, Bane or Dotson all interesting in a trade down scenario.

Terry it is.

If Terry is indeed someone the Magic want, I would assume they would look for a trade down opportunity, so I voted other.

If the Magic are staying at 15, I think they take RJ Hampton and hope to god he is the diamond in the rough future star that people thought he would be.

I think the strength of this draft is in the 6-12 range. There's a huge drop-off at this point...

Most of these guys will be lucky to even become bench roll players.

I choose Pokusevski and other option - Desmond Bane.

Pokusevski- to me he is the highest ceiling player in the draft. Long, agile, can shoot, protect the rim and pass. Our front office prioritizes that kind of players as we magic fans know. He doesnt fit our need, but having the option to stash him is another plus.

Bane- strong, big and movement shooter. I think he is still undervalued. He would actually fit our need and his ceiling is quite high.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

So our choices look to be: Cole Anthony, Vernon Carey, Theo Maledon, Precious Achiuwa, Tyrell Terry, Tyrese Maxey, Josh Green, and Jaden McDaniels. In order from NBAdraft.net.

I will go with Cole Anthony simply because he is BPA.

But if this is what Orlando actually has as choices, the Magic would trade the pick. I am fairly confident on that.

But Orlando would just trade down for that.

I'd take Tyrell Terry. I'd accept Kira Lewis as an alternative. I think the front office would take RJ Hampton. Cole Anthony makes no sense.

Tyrese Maxey for me, the dude just seems to have that competitive drive. He can finish and his shot isn’t as bad as %’s say IMO. Won’t be issues with Fultz and Maxey on the floor at the same time and now Orlando has 2 dudes who can beat 1v1 defense.

Lewis/Anthony all are 1 guards and we all know Fultz is not good off the ball.

Kentucky guards always seem to do well in NBA vs Cal’s forced system.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Poku is just has too much potential to pass up. It would be monstrous if ORL was able to field two forwards with the length and size of Issac and Poku. Assuming Issac can come back and still play SF, which may be high hopes after injury.

ORL doesnt have a franchise guy, or a guy likely to develop into even a #2 scoring option on a perennial ECF type team. Poku is the only player at this point that has the upside to become a #2 option at some point in the future, or even #3 IMO. Take him, if he bust you keep getting high picks. If he hits, he hits. But taking middle tier guys who project to role players, even good role players, is the wrong move for ORL. They already have a team chalk full of really good 4th-8th men. Swing away or stay in purgatory.

While im not a fan of drafting for need, but for Orlando, there is a MAJOR need that needs to be addressed and that is an alpha dog, go-to scorer! Someone who can put the team on his back and go out and score 40-50 on a given night if needed. Basically a dame lillard or Jamal Murray type player. Not so much in dames/murrays skillset, as thats very rare, but in their attitude\drive etc.

To me, barring a trade up for Anthony Edwards, and with the choices available, id go Cole Anthony or RJ Hampton just for the offensive potential

imo Magic are trading the pick with AG to move up.
Cole wont last past the lottery Carey and McDaniels are a late first at best prospect ,Maledon wont go until the tax teams start picking Terry is really a mystery could go mid lottery or early 2nd.

If the draft shock out this way Id be pretty happy as the 4 guys Id want are still there. (Cole Anthony, Kira Lewis Terrell Terry and ,Tyrese Maxey) I think Im going with Terry. It may be a boom or bust pick but Im tired playing it safe. Time to close our eyes and swing for the fences. I have a good feeling about him.

As for what our FO would do. Jaden McDaniels seems likley.

I agree. Even a move to #13 could get a 3-D SG prospect.

Cole is a top 10 prospect so if he fell it would be a easy decision imo but i would think your front office would really like Maxey and he could fall there given his offense as a shooter needs work

I would be good with Cole too. Our front office loves length and defensive versitility over everything. Thats why we are still so bad on offense. So I think Terry and Anthony are out. I think if Bey was there he'd be a strong possibility. Maxey is a possibility but I think our FO is looking at Saddiq Bey, Patrick Williams or Jaden Mcdaniels.

interesting why though is there no confidence in Okeke next season?
I think a guard like Maxey or Lewis will be higher on most boards in the ORL range and if they were to reach
on a freakish prospect my guess is Achiuwa or Poku would be of higher value than Bey Williams or the lowly Mcdaniels
