PP, what did you mean when you said Bogdan and Budenholzer are “not a good cultural fit”?

Wouldn’t mind Drew Eubanks as a cheap backup big. Coming off a Spurs 2-way, looked solid in the bubble. Has some lift.

This comment reminds me of the 2008 Hammond draft dartboard I created. You could have literally thrown a dart at any of the first 26 picks of that draft and gotten a better player than Joe Alexander. It was a stunningly deep draft that year. We came away with nothing in round one.
Fun one to look at who all went where in 2008.

Has it really been 12 years since Potsie was drafted?

Yeah but guys, half of that draft class was or currently is on our active roster
I'm sober enough to know what I'm doing, and drunk enough to really enjoy doing it

Think any perceived “sulking” is more about being on the Kings.

I feel like Bogdan is one of those Euro guys that has blinders on as to what the coach wants to accomplish. I'd go with Bud's instincts on whether he'd be coachable in our scheme and play defense or not.

People need to lower their expectations for late draft picks. Everybody's ideal model franchise, Golden State, hadn't drafted a contributor since 2012 until they nailed the Paschall pick this season.
Look at these picks in context. Here are the players who were drafted after Sterling Brown:
Ike Anigbogu
Sindarius Thornwell
Vlatko Čančar
Mathias Lessort
Monte Morris
Edmond Sumner
Kadeem Allen
Alec Peters
Nigel Williams-Goss
Jabari Bird
Aleksandar Vezenkov
Ognjen Jaramaz
Jaron Blossomgame
Alpha Kaba
Horst picked one of the only two guys available who look like serviceable role players (the other being Morris).
Here are the players who were drafted after DiVincenzo:
Lonnie Walker
Kevin Huerter
Josh Okogie
Grayson Allen
Chandler Hutchison
Aaron Holiday
Anfernee Simons
Moritz Wagner
Landry Shamet
Robert Williams
Jacob Evans
Džanan Musa
Omari Spellman
Élie Okobo
Jevon Carter
Jalen Brunson
Devonte' Graham
Melvin Frazier
Mitchell Robinson
Gary Trent
Khyri Thomas
Isaac Bonga
Rodions Kurucs
Jarred Vanderbilt
Bruce Brown
Justin Jackson
Issuf Sanon
Hamidou Diallo
De'Anthony Melton
Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk
Keita Bates-Diop
Chimezie Metu
Alize Johnson
Tony Carr
Vince Edwards
Devon Hall
Shake Milton
Arnoldas Kulboka
Ray Spalding
Kevin Hervey
Thomas Welsh
George King
Kostas Antetokounmpo
Again, how many players from that list would you rather have on the Bucks than Donte?

I'd take Donte over all 3 of those. Devonte had a 38.2 FG% last season.

How? If OKC is trading CP3 it is to get out from under that contract. We would need to offer up contracts that save them money. Even if we need to attach young assets, we have DDV, #24, and a 2022 1st.
That's a decent offer and in our minds, it should be good enough
But, Presti is a much better GM than Horst is. Look at what he got for Paul George and Westbrook.
There will be teams with better offers for Paul.
Unless Paul wants to only play for the Bucks and forces a trade here.
I'm just saying, everyone should stop assuming we're in the drivers seat with pole position for CP3, we're not.
Not saying we are in the driver's seat but CP3 is owed $86 milllion dollars over the next 2 years. How many other teams will want that contract? Especially given the current economic climate of the NBA. Our owner has said we will spend into the luxury tax, but how many other teams are willing to do that? How many are even going to spend near the limit?
If OKC is mainly looking to reduce their expenditure in this trade (which imo is a big part of why they would trade him), they will look to give him up in a deal where they cut costs. How many young assets we would have to give up, if any.. I don't know. But there is no way they are getting an elite young player like a Tyler Herro or a top 5 pick. The assets we have should get the job done (lesser contracts plus DDV, 1st round picks, etc.)
still learning the game

Couldn’t disagree more. Mirza was a blinders guy. Mirotic to a certain extent was a blinders guy. Bogdan is very much a team guy.

Yeah, Devonte had a nice run early in the season, but had completely fallen apart right before the shutdown. Diallo can't shoot. Kostas will likely get a 2 way from the Bucks after the Lakers set him free.

No more Wes Matthews or completely washed up vets. If you want to get an old guy make sure he has championship pedigree whose value will show up outside a box score and elevate the rest of the team like an Andre Iguodala. So many old, used up one trick ponies are not gonna cut it.

Feel like Wes is a weird one to point out. He played great and would have been a rotation player on almost every playoff team.

Yeah Wes was one of the few bright spots of our playoffs. If anything I’m worried he opts out and gets more from a rival contender.

If a guy isn't All-NBA and averaging 20 ppg on a $3 million contract, he's a huuuuuge disappointment.

Oladipo is a high risk/high reward homerun move I think this team should make, if he plays anywhere near his prior ceiling the Bucks would have a legit big 3 with Giannis/Dipo/Middleton
