There it is...

Thoughts? I like it because I feel he'll have a better idea of what to do with the roster than our sham of a front office.

Thought D'Antoni was intriguing as well as Lue. D'Antoni an offensive genius, Lue apparently a leader of men. But I felt that Mike D would really be hit or miss, and I feel if it went south quickly Jo would be out of here. Lue was the hardest for me to get a read on. I feel like he might have also had a really high ceiling.

We shall see...

Interesting, better not be the collaborative making the decisions.

Glenn needs to lose some lbs, like most of us, hopefully he starts by lopping off most of the FO. If Tobias can't be moved, this guy knows how to get the best out of him. He knows how to coach bigs and bigger point guards, or point whatever, since Simmons is a point no matter what position he plays. How long till Austin Rivers is walking the halls of Wells Fargo Center?

"Rivers can trend toward stubborn, sticking with “his guys” in spite of the need for a shake-up, a common criticism of Brett Brown during his tenure. He is not known for impactful adjustments as much as he is building a solid Plan A and believing that will be enough to win the day."

He's a better version of Brett Brown. Sure thats an upgrade but its not what this franchise needs.

How they shake up the roster for him, and how exactly he uses Ben will be very interesting.

I like this. Unlike D'Antoni whose teams perennially choke in the playoffs, Doc is a proven winner and has respect among players, coaches, execs, etc. around the league. He's the best option we had IMO from a retread standpoint.

Glenn Rivers it is. This isn't great but there is worse. Now, lets fire that FO? Please?
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Jay Wright would have been best, why can’t he leave Nova :(

Ok so if Doc doesn't have FO sway... I assume that means O'Neil is going to be poking his weaselly neck in there? And we're right back to bad hire.

Well if he can get Ben to shoot then its a success.

Not a great hire, but from what is available, probably the best we could do.

Not having FO duties and having FO sway can be two very different things. Elton should be empowered that he got one of the guys he wanted and not one favored by ownership/Collar holdovers. I doubt they get rid of O'Neill, he is dug in as deep and parasitic as a diseased tick, but hopefully more the the Colangelo holdover boys get shown the door.

Exactly what fl311 was saying all along.

I am curious about the tweet I saw that said Jo didn't want Lue because he didn't want anyone with ties to Ben Simmons coaching the team...

fl311 any legs to that?

I can't believe we actually got the top guy on the market.

Doc is one of the better coaches in the league.

Well I guess it is good. Harris had great numbers playing for him and Doc can help Ben I think.

Welcome Glenn Rivers!

I'm good w/this. Almost indifferent between Glenn and Dan Tony, but would take either over Ty Lue.

Now please take out the trash in the front office!

Top 5 potential with right roster.
