Simmons for #1

To me, this feels so unbalanced, I would actually feel sorry for Sixers fans if it happened.

Re: Simmons for #1
Despite all his warts, I don't think there is adequate value for Simmons even if the first three picks were offered in the current draft.

Well that's not enough value for Simmons. Doc Rivers gonna destroy another franchise.
1, 17, Culver, I guess is closer, but not quite there. Weird report.

KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?

I’m not familiar. Is he not viewed as terribly credible?
I mean, I know this could easily be clickbait so I’m just wondering if you could share a bit more info about him.
Thanks.

Isn't this the guy that said Trier was better than Luka and that Luka was a 2nd round pick?
Rumor aside, MIN should go all-in. #1, Johnson, Culver, '23 & '25 1st, '22, '24, '26 swaps.

Simmons will be dealt for Culver, 1, Beasley sign and trade. Book it.
Yikers that min pick 2021 is going to be so bad for gsw, their pick might have higher value.

Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!

Real hard to trade a pick in this draft in a S&T. Does Minnesota draft at 1 for themselves in case Philly changes their mind? What if Beasley sees a major deal dependent on him and says “give me $25m per year or I back out right now”. What if Minnesota drafts for Philly at 1 and wouldn’t otherwise want that player for themselves and gets stuck with them? And if it al works out, what do you do when it’s an automatic tampering charge and the league declares the 1 pick a free agent and reverses the deal since Philly can’t negotiate with Beasley until we’ll after the draft?

Re: Simmons for #1
Not going to happen.
Rivers has no front office power. He's here as a coach only.
Just like when Andy Reid left Phila for KC as a coach only.
In fact the parallels between Reid and Rivers are there in terms of their perceived flaws as coaches. Let's hope the result turns out similar.

He’s not really an NBA scout. He’s not employed by a team or news operation. He’s a guy with a website that charges $15 to read his mock draft.
Maybe he’s like that barber that occasionally has inside news, but

Re: Simmons for #1
JJohnson, Culver, #1, #17, 2023 1st (top 3 protected) for SImmons?
Sixers get depth, and balance
For Minny it's a homerun
Of course, the idea of Beal to the Sixers is always there-Washington taking the 3 picks

I don't see it happening. Any coach would like to see what they have first before tearing down the team, especially if those are Simmons. I could see if Simmons is traded for proven vets, but for a totally unknown rookie like Ball? That would be wishful thinking from Wolves.

Re: Simmons for #1
Does replacing James Johnson with DeAngelo Russell add value to the package, or subtract it? Russell and #1.
The truth is, while KAT is like the perfect C to get the most out of Simmons, Simmons lack of shooting minimizes the floor spacing KAT provides. But to me, the bigger problem is DeAngelo Russell. Simmons has the most value with the ball in his hands, but take that ball away from Russell, and how does he come anywhere close to being worth a max deal?
I’m not saying MIN wouldn’t instantly agree - Simmons is a great talent. I am saying that he isn’t a seamless fit.
