Tatum really grew as a facilitator, maybe he should be in the winners catagory for that alone. But overall he played to the level I expect from him. Actually below it which shows how scary good he is/will be. The list isn't who had the best stats.

I missed Trent. He is one of the biggest winners imo. I almost want to edit him in. Porter is also a big winner. But to me continues to over rate himself and be a bit a diva.

Oh yes, he's clearly a diva, and frankly not all that bright. Of course being a DIVA in the NBA is more par for the course (Durant, Kyrie, Lebron, Shaq, Howard, etc..) than the exception (Dame, Butler, Duncan, etc..) for good players.

Did their play change significantly from the regular season to the bubble? I really don't think so. To me you had to elevate your game in the bubble (breakout, next-level) I would say they simply performed at the level they were playing at.

AD and Bron is a must on the winners list
Kawhi is a must on the losers list

These are top tier players they've got the most to lose or win in the post season it's ridiculous not including them if you don't there's no point having a list like that
The perception about them also drastically changed Kawhi was widely considered as the best player in the league and now he's not, AD had a questionmark and now there is none and ppl and media said "lebron went to LA for the movies" which obviously isnt' true

I would counter that those two young guys performing at such a high level in their first postseason as the clear #1 option on their team is a win regardless of how well they had been playing or what anyone's personal expectations were.

For Tatum he was averaging 23/7/3 in the RS and raised it to 26/10/5 in the postseason. The playoffs are supposed to be harder but he played even better. Same for Luka, his stats were also up across the board.

And in any case they are 21 and 22 years old and were among the very best players in the playoffs. That's a huge win.

I personally don't let ratings determine how much I enjoy something.

I love the NBA now significantly more than the NBA of the 1990s/early 2000s.

Winners

The Nuggets were big-time winners after fighting back to win 2 series despite not having Barton and the performances by Murray and Porter Jr.

The Heat for obvious reasons.

Lakers: they put together a dominating playoff run and clearly proved to be head and shoulders above any other team.

Phoenix: They put together a heck of a run in the bubble and that should bode well for them next year.

OKC: they had a great run and got their young players some excellent experience. They just might be able to move Chris Paul to a desperate contender for more pieces to build around.

Losers

Rockets: D'Antoni out after going all-in with small ball and there are real questions if the Harden/Westbrook tandem can compete for a title.

Milwaukee: One thing is to lose a series, another thing is to have come within a few seconds of getting swept out of the playoffs. The pressure to make a deep playoff run next year will be immense in a conference that is going to have really strong teams in Philly, Toronto, Miami, Brooklyn, and Boston.

Philadelphia: It shouldn't be this way, but getting knocked out in the 1st round got their coach fired and has really questioned the makeup of the roster, especially whether or not Simmons and Embiid can co-exist. There will be lots of pressure to make it deep into the playoffs next year.

Clippers: They overreacted firing Rivers and this bubble run may have lasting negative effects on the roster.

Clippers won simply by getting rid of the tick Doc Rivers. Terrible coach with expectations and leader. I’ll take getting things back to normal next season

A little bit of joke. But he showed a glimpse of his potential as a player going forward. He also continues overate himself. I get the vibe that his teammates and Coaches don't like him.

The first takeaway: Zubac was the only Clipper who thrived next to Leonard and George in both the regular season and postseason. Zubac also had a positive net rating with George and Leonard off the floor, respectively, in the regular season and postseason.

Similarly, Morris and Lou Williams rated well, though Williams had the worst mark in the regular season (albeit still a solid net rating). Landry Shamet and Reggie Jackson saw their net ratings take a hit in the postseason, but they remained slight positives, which makes sense considering their playoff roles as catch-and-shoot threats.

As the two tables show, it’s next to impossible to have a negative net rating alongside Leonard and George — but Patrick Beverley, Green and Harrell managed to in the postseason.

The Clippers’ minus-30.1 net rating with Harrell alongside Leonard and George is jaw-dropping — and is a neon-red sign of how detrimental Harrell’s minutes were for L.A. in the postseason.

Some of you NBA fans are just not getting how toxic, arrogant and bad Doc Rivers was as a clippers coach. This man forced Harrell into the lineup when it wasn’t working in two rounds and nearly got beat by Dallas playing Boban on Harrell.

This was not one year of Doc Rivers making stupid decisions he’s done this every year as a head coach of the team. Overplaying guys and creating a toxic environment in the locker room.

Imagine Frank Vogel force playing Dwight and McGee vs Houston or McGee against Denver even though he knows it’s not working and the stats team is telling him to stop?

Reason Green and Beverly was in the negative

Green actually had a positive net rating in his non-Harrell minutes (plus-11.8) compared with his Harrell minutes (minus-15.4 net rating). Beverley never found his groove after dealing with a calf injury in the first round vs. Dallas.
