Bam Adebayo, Goran Dragic Listed As Doubtful For Game 3

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Oct 3, 2020 10:38 pm

Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic are listed as doubtful for game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Adebayo, who is recovering from a neck strain, said he expected to play on Sunday.

Dragic suffered a plantar tear of the left foot in game 1.

The Heat are currently down 2-0 in the series.

Weird read earlier today that Bam was expected to play for game 3.

Could have easily won game 2 with those two.

I still think Lakers would win either way but it would be close.

I don't know about easily. The Heat, unfortunately, just don't match up well against the Lakers. They are too big, too strong and have LBJ and AD playing their best basketball of the season right now.

Not to say the Heat couldn't have made it more interesting if they were healthy, though. They did play well in game 2, but outrebounded, too many 2nd chance points and the zone really didn't work.

Lol Quick, get the King more help or get an opponent suspended. The Bubble’s already been the hardest thing he said he’s done in his life!!

So should he sit out? I mean seriously, what fault of his is it that Bam and Dragic got hurt in game 1, and that this is the team that made it out of the East? They are destroying every opponent, what more can you ask of Lebron and the Lakers?

You're assuming the Lakers are not playing down to the level of their opponent. The Lakers aren't going to try as hard when Bam and Dragic go down. Heat were losing by a lot before than the injuries in game 1, so I don't think it makes a difference. I had the Lakers in 5 before the series started, now whether any of them return or not, it's in 4 games IMO.

What?

This isnt regular season lol

Its the final, you're insane if you think they arent trying to the level of their opponent.

What an asinine take.

Ok, well the Heat lost by 28pts in game 1 with Bam playing 21mins and Dragic playing 15mins, but they lost by only 10 last night? Are the Heat much better without those two?

You do know its a 7 game series right? Its called adjusting to your opponents its why coaches exist. If we had Bam/Dragic (Healthy) in g2, I would've had it 1-1 going in g3. Come on man, I shouldn't have to explain basketball 101 to you.

You don't have to explain basketball to me. After crushing their opponent in game 1, and their opponent being short two players, you better believe that a team could come out lackadaisical. Playing down to your opponent, or playing your best when your back is against the wall, are things that really happen, doesn't matter if it's the playoffs or not.
