I love the NBA now significantly more than the NBA of the 1990s/early 2000s.

I'd agree, but this wasn't real nba.It was just a money grab and a fake tourney to make money and nothing else. Nobody cares about fake nba summer league stuff.

It was real NBA, not summer league at all lmao.

All pro sports leagues are trying to make money. Get with the program.

Losers: The delete 8
NBA really let 8 teams go possibly a year without playing any organized competition.. critical for mostly youngish teams developing talent

Lakers were the team that took the biggest hit because of the break. lol

They were slaughtering the league before the shutdown and it took them a while to start slaughtering everyone else again.

Yeah,... the reffing in the bubble has been crazy bad. When you get a game full of highlights, that Ronnie Nunn can question a plethora of calls. And he concludes his commentary by saying that the NBA's new head referees have a lot to learn when it comes to nuances of the game. Something is definitely off.

I saw it happen to my team vs. Miami & then I saw it happen to Denver vs. the Lakers. Call a consistent game, or you're going to lose a lot of fans. It really is getting WWE with flopping, favoritism, some players get away with hacking & others can't just play honest straight up defense. Last night Kendrick Nunn got to experience what Khris Middleton did playing Jimmy Butler straight up.

I missed Trent. He is one of the biggest winners imo. I almost want to edit him in. Porter is also a big winner. But to me continues to over rate himself and be a bit a diva.

Oh yes, he's clearly a diva, and frankly not all that bright. Of course being a DIVA in the NBA is more par for the course (Durant, Kyrie, Lebron, Shaq, Howard, etc..) than the exception (Dame, Butler, Duncan, etc..) for good players.

Dame is not a diva? Wow.

They took the slaughtering a bit too literally vs. Denver (and got away with it).

I think biggest losers were the Clippers and Milwaukee, they did so much less than we expected. Winners - Nuggets, (Heat). And the league itself, as we saw one more playoff increment with favoritism and obvious, ugly shifting of games. The stuff was brutal, even officials agreed with the eye test. But at this point it has happened so often that we just deal with it (and note an asterisk if it was significant).

I personally have no problem with the reffing. Basketball is naturally a hard sport to ref. I have no complaints.

*Every* year is the supposed worse year reffing ever. It's just the nature of reffing, players miss shots and refs miss calls. It happens.

I disagree with Dipo and Zion being losers.

Dipo returned to playing on January 29th 371 days after his knee surgery. Then in March the season is suspended for COVID and Sabonis decides to get treatment on his foot, and the Pacers don’t get Sabonis for the bubble.

Zion is 20 years old, had limited minutes, returned from an injury this season, and had emergency leave/quarantine during the bubble.

If people are selling Dipo and Zion stock, I’ll buy it.
