They need more hardware to be considered among the great duos. Assuming they win the title:

Michael/Scottie
Magic/Kareem
Shaq/Kobe
LeBron/Wade
Splash
Durant/Curry
Wilt/West

They need to win more to be on the Curry/Durant level. I might even take the synergy between prime Curry and Klay over Bron/AD. Let’s not forget what they accomplished. Let’s hope that debate is settled next year then, with no injuries. I just need more longevity from those two together.

All those duos dominated for several years with multiple Finals appearances, sometimes in a row. Not to mention historical winning streaks and records. You can make the case for Bron/AD, but the sample size doesn’t speak in your favor and it’s definitely not a « not even close » conversation to begin with.
