Neither guy will be starting for a New York team a few years from now. Both franchises are a disgrace. What on earth happened to the Giants? Gettleman, I guess.

Darnold might have a chance as a reclamation project but he's finished with the Jets. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Belichick takes him on as a post-Cam project and turns him into a Pro Bowler just to stick it to the Jets.

Horrible organizations rn.
Jets hasn’t helped put anything around Darnold and it’s year 3. Trash work. They should be desperate at this point and sign AB or Dez. Sam is a sitting duck.

Was never really sold on Jones... Thought he was a pretty big reach where we took him.. but yes I agree the O line would make most QBs look like garbage

Honestly both these guys came into terrible situations. I feel bad for both and hope they figure it out on other teams. Their futures in ny do not look bright.

Darnold has shown flashes of Stardom that Jones has yet to ever show. Darnold is just in a TERRIBLE position, guy has no WRs and his line is still iffy at best, if not horrible. That does not help when you're a young QB learning. He'll break out in the next 2-3 years if they get him the help he needs.

Why didn't we resign Robbie Anderson? It's not like the Cougars overwhelmed him with money. Did it have to do with something other than his ability to catch the football?

Also, didn't the Jets draft a receiver in the first round last year who's also out hurt?

Gaze has to go. I hope we lose again tomorrow night just bc it pushes him that much closer to being ousted.

What do we do if we get the first pick in the draft?

I don't follow the Jets much, but Giants drafting a Jones didn't make sense in that it was just the wrong time to draft a QB. Sure, if he's the next Petyon Manning, Brady, or Brees, you can throw him into a bad situation.

But you don't draft a guy like Jones and put him on a **** team.

He's going to continue to get rocked, and I'm not sure how his development will be.

They should have built through the draft for another 3 years, build their line, and then draft a QB.

I can see taking a QB if they think he's the guy. The Saquon Barkley pick at #2 really set us back. He's good but he has been virtually useless for us winning games. They should have built up the line like you said and you could plug an average running back in there and get good results.

I'm ok with Barkley tbh, b/c I believe he was the best player in that draft. And they still had a decent team for that season if they were coached and managed right. So it made good sense.

I just feel Jones was forced.

Quinten Nelson was in the Barkley draft so it's hard to call Barkley the best player when he's missed 1 1/4 of the past two seasons.

We should've just drafted Nelson....

Can we change this to the, who is getting Lawerence thread? Damn.

Both suck. But with the Giants there's a general feel that they are just in a down period and that the light will come eventually. With the Jets? LOL. The Jets are the Knicks of the NFL in every sense of the word (FYI...the Browns are the Sactown Kings of the NFL). Every move, even the one's that seem to make perfect sense (latest being Quinnen Williams...the absolutely positively can't miss generational lineman) ends up being awful (yeah yeah too early, but you get the point). Even ownership. Woody Johnson was doing his best James Dolan imitation. So by the grace of the football gods, he gets move out and his brother Chris moves in. Chris is supposed to be the more detailed and cerebral brother. Thus far it looks like Woody passed whatever stupid ownership bug to Chris who is responsible for arguably the worst addition in recent NFL history (see Adam Gase)...and then he does something that no one on the planet earth is doing...defend Gase LOL. On a related note, ever notice how bulbously big Woody and Chris Johnson's heads are? You'd think that with such big heads that the brain matter underneath would yield great intuition, ingenuity and wisdom right? Nope...it's like all that space is occupied by hot air when it comes to running an NFL franchise (see Jim Dolan).
