I have and will continue to be critical of gestures that are clearly pointlessly divisive and accusatory in presentation.
And I will celebrate gestures that are clearly unifying.
Good job!

Guy takes a great gesture by the team and turns it into his own divisive political statement. Laughs.

Re: Finally. A welcome and *truly universally* unifying gesture.
That's grossly unfair, kg.
No one is oblivious to the original "divisive political statement"... that was the team's, not mine or any other fan's.
So why do what you just did? Because, would you have taken it as genuine had I said it was a "welcome and truly universally unifying gesture," without some explanation??? You of all people would not have, both because you know the outrage I took at the team's original divisiveness, and because you're an intelligent person--you would have taken it as sarcasm.
Don't have to agree with me. A lot of people don't. But at least be fair.

There was no reason to even bring it up. A kudos on the new jersey is all that's necessary. I wouldn't have drawn the connection without a reminder.

I can't say whether you would have or you wouldn't, but we also both know that you received a PM earlier today, it just so happens, that ***at least*** makes it ***reasonable*** for you to presume that I would think it would be fresh on your mind.
And even setting that and you aside, it's not like one should assume none of the other participants or readers to that thread would not recall it.
And even setting the previous thread aside. It's not like I'm the only fan to point out the divisiveness of the team's tweet.
You can refuse to agree with my perspective. Just don't pretend there's no substance to the perspective. Intelligent adults can disagree without being disrespectful. Productive discussion requires that, actually.
Speaking of productive discussion, I see none of that seeming likely here. Yours is the last word on the topic of the original divisiveness here, that is, unless you want to try to achieve some productive discussion via PM.

Can you two take this lovers spat elsewhere? Jesus.
Soth, what do you think of these new uni’s? Oh, let me know on here and not that other place, I’ll tell you why through PM.
You are not gonna believe this.

Another lesser but positive by-product of this development: Doubt we'll ever be left out of the MLK Day line-up for a long, long time. And of course, we *never* should have been.

Well, black n gold are the colors of his fraternity.

Re: Finally. A welcome and *truly universally* unifying gesture.
I'm just old-fashioned enough to think every uniform ought to, first and foremost, communicate to Joe or Jane Fan watching the team on TV who the heck that team is.
That's why it only makes sense that, though you may do this seriously-alternative alternative jersey called "city," there ought to be something to that uniform that expresses that this team is Atlanta's team... not Miami, not Memphis, et al.
Ordinarily, a good compromise would be to employ the team colors.
But if you don't, then do something.
Well, they did do something... but from where I sit, this is too understated--no one can see it(!)--and it ought to be prominent someway somehow...

Looks like the Sac Kings logo got cleaned up and is ready for its date.
