Haven't really considered the Dumars-Horst relationship as part of the Kings angle. Good to have people you've got experience communicating with.

Would anyone part with Middleton to net CP and Buddy H?

No. Hield isn't good enough.

This literally drives me nuts...we've seen teams like Orlando throw 4 people, literally hand to hand making a wall and I don't recall ever seeing a backdoor cut or any movement from the corner 3 guys.
Getting a high flyer that would punish teams for presenting a wall is a must. Derrick Jones Jr. would be a good add on a Pat Conny type deal. Or find the next version of him that can come in and at least give us a counter measure against it.
Jones Jr. would be a liability offensively, he’s been cut out of Miami’s rotation and they have a much more diverse offense with better shooting than the Bucks to make up for his flaws. imo if you’re a guard/wing and can’t shoot, handle, or playmake you have no place on the Bucks.

That's fine, but the idea we could have a high flyer cutting backdoor of the wall was more my point.

This is where Ersan would've helped. He's our most active screener and best off ball cutter. When Marvin was out there, the offense tended to stagnate.

He's great at keeping the ball alive on the offensive glass, too. He seemed extraordinarily slow in the restart, though, not moving well for whatever reason. Should have gotten a shot, though. I just think our whole culture in the bubble was too casual. I think we took a lot for granted.

Only way I trade Middleton is if some dumb team will trade a superstar with him as the centerpiece like the Spurs did with Kawhi/Derozan. Still pisses me off that they gifted them a title.

Middleton is a much better player than DeRozan ever was, though, so even that kind of trade we wouldn't win by as much as the Raptors did. Plus they got Danny Green, another very good (former all-defense) player.

The hate on DeRozan is really something here ...
I mean I loved Kyle Lowry more than him , but I have respect to what he is,
a scoring machine that tries his best every night
he mostly gets the job done on that end

I think it's accurate to say he is mostly ok on one end of the court.

Yep , I just disagree that peak Derozan is worse than peak Khris . Khris has been cruising on D for many years and has been a D liability that alot of teams have exploited in the past. So Khris is mostly ok on one end of the court also.

Middleton is significantly better on defense though. And that says more about Derozan than it does about Middleton. He's also better offensively.

Agree to disagree... In my eyes Khris and DeRozan are a wash on D and DeRozan is better offensively, he is faster more athletic and attacks the rim and is a master in mid range. Khris almost never attacks the rim, cause his is not athletic. So they are both 2 Level Scorers ... both have Mid range , Khris shoots the 3 while DeRozan finishes at the rim and gets to the FT line more often. I would want them both if possible.

Man Middleton and Derzon being a wash defensively is a really bad take. I'm sorry but its so far from the truth.
And aren't you the guy that claims Giannis needs 37%+ 3 point shooters? Why the hell would we want derozen then, who is a bad 3 point shooter and now doesn't even attempt to shoot 3s?

---
#24 - Xavier Tillman

I'd 100% do it. None of the other GMs would.
