Stanton looks so much more comfortable at the plate than last year.

Yeah, this is how MVP Stanton looked. Locked in and just barreling through balls consistently.

Its really odd. He can't still be shell shocked from his poor playoff outing last year can he? Maybe he just can't deal with pitching in silence? I've wondered a lot about what playing in an empty stadium would do psychologically to players.

If we have another blowout today we should definitely put him in.

What a POS. I hope one of the lesser guys on the roster today starts something if any of that chit goes down.

That was some BS. Can't wait to get the brooms out on these trashbags.

Stanton being locked in just completely changes the outlook for this Yankee lineup. Makes Voit way more dangerous batting right ahead of him. It almost makes you forget that historically our best playoff hitter is 2 batters behind him as well. You want to pitch around Stanton? Great. Have fun with Urshela and Gleyber up right after him.

Boone can either be the goat or the scapegoat with this move.

I like this move.

Win, we get Tanaka to close out the series for game 3.

Lose, we can pitch Cole on short rest for game 4 perhaps?

I have more faith in Deivi than I do in Happ.

Sidenote, they REALLY don’t want to pay Happ next year.

Stanton isn't pressing anything. He looks really comfortable at the plate right now. Wish I could say the same for Gary.

I would of put Ottavino in, let him get some of his rhythm back. We kind of need another reliable reliever. I don't trust Green much anymore.

Ya and have Cessa available out of the pen (and he still is) in long relief, if Garcia gives you a shortened outing. The league has figured Green out and he will get out of it more often then not, now facing the elite lineups you better have your $hit together. Boone manages the pen like he has 10 Mo Rivera's being able to pitch multiple innings, of course it would be nice if all starters pitched 5 innings, so not always an ideal situation.

We can always use Happ or Monty out of the pen too. Hope Deivi can give us 5 plus tonight. I have faith in Tanaka giving us 6

You can't call the championship tainted then cry about fans crying after a loss. Cant have it both ways.

Sure I can. I don't place much value on them winning anything this year either.

Every fan will have their own way of reacting off of a win or loss, its what fans do. Its not overreacting like you have put it, its reacting. Call someone out and calling someone to get traded are 2 different things.

Its 2020 and A's are still choke artists, can't even win a playoff series (a real one) vs a below .500 team.

I have faith in Deivi tonight let it fly, actually less pressure for him, less time for Devi to think about his 1st postseason start, and gives Tanaka an extra day as he can work on sharpening his pitches for game 3. Happ isnt coming back but not the time for that conversation,
we could use him in some capacity.

I like how Devi is pitching. Dude got lucky Bc he’s hot. Bringing in Haap will be a disaster. Even though he’s been hot.
